Oh totally. But the "flow like water" moveset is so slick

IMO: - 1 point per flag, limit 2/turn, tallied at the end - revealing a safe cell awards a point to all who contributed flags to make it safe - add "check": check a solved cell to reveal all adjacent cells - add "solve": if all (min 2) replies say "solve", reveal all remaining cells

Thought experiment: how would you score cooperative, turn-based Minesweeper? This one scores only for cells revealed, which incentivizes fishing for blanks. It doesn't score flags, and penalizes fails (can't score for 4 turns). Once all mines are flagged, cleanup is slow.

I appreciate the context, but the top half of the chart is still nonsense.

RIGHT okay. this is branched off a patent filed initially in 2009 and then abandoned, refiled in 2020 and 2023 and I guess this year under a different number. wee. my curiosity is officially sated.

Strong runners-up to the entire Encanto soundtrack, though.

Gotta wonder how much Kalshi paid for that advertising. And whether there's any way to watch/listen to a game that hasn't been eaten by the making more money industry.

@kamakru.bsky.social 's prints came with a new bookmark (ok it's a business card but it's too pretty) and a really pretty sticker 🤩 (The art is gorgeous too) (cameo by @mtrc.bsky.social's Next Level)

A business card tucked in a book. It features a painting of a mountain lake with a white dragon spreading its wings in the foreground. Next to it is a dragon sticker, printed black on brown paper. It is in a style reminiscent of Pacific Northwest animal spirit artwork (or a Monster Hunter monster icon?), filling the rectangular sticker with blocky shapes and bold lines

Two framed prints. One is a dragon spreading its wings in golden sunlight at the top of a cliff, framed by foreground pines. In the other, a dragon reclines on the rocky shore of a lake. (Both frames need their mats recut to better match the art, I know)

It's a strong argument for getting your start with mods, or prioritizing game jams while you're learning. Being able to see a final result quickly is a great motivator, and a small project can survive mistakes (or shortcuts) that would doom a bigger one.

Yeah that was just the cardboard box maze with better assets, yeesh. And the last 20 seconds was just... working in Unity? Like, after the "we need a lighting tool" handwave, the LLM is just gone.
