Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 26/01/2026High profile shootings aside, there is a case here in my town of a legal resident youth forgetting his wallet, getting picked up, and being shipped off to a detention center in Georgia, despite his family offering evidence. There are thousands of examples like this. Just random terror 060

Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 18/07/2025Things are always developing *slowly*, with steps forward and other steps back. We have sheep now so that’s exciting! Would definitely be nice to catch up, how are things with you? 110

Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 07/02/2025When you witness something beautiful, three miracles are co-arising at once, the miracle of being, the miracle of the awareness of being, and the bliss that breaks the confines of its functional value 1201
Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 01/02/2025This is not what I think, in fact it's a tiresome strawman of my view, but oh well. I'm not going to continue this interaction, but if you'd like to understand my view better, I'll recommend That All Shall Be Saved, by David Bentley Hart, or Unspoken Sermons by George Macdonald 020
Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 01/02/2025We must have a different understanding of what the Bible says. For me, it really is the good news 100
Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 01/02/2025For me the potential of Spring starts in February. Not quite done with Winter rest, but new stirrings beckon. Time to prepare the soul to steward a new growth of creation, envision, acquire seeds, prune and plant trees, plan for new animals, and as always, pray 050
Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 01/02/2025I certainly think there are consequences to resisting God, but perhaps where we disagree is that I don't think we can resist God forever. In the end God will win over our hearts and obedience, and His entire creation will be restored, without remainder. God will be all-in-all 120
Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 01/02/2025If I am a Christian and I believe I will be reconciled and restored back to God, and if I believe that my relationships are essential to who I am, then I must believe that my relationships will also be reconciled and restored, and that there is no salvation that is not universal 190
Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 01/02/2025It's a beautiful thing to have faith that all parts of yourself, all of your relationships, experiences, and interests, no matter how seemingly disparate, disjointed, and dysfunctional, are forming an organic and essential divine unity that will be revealed in due time 190
Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 01/02/2025In my view there are two competing Christian visions. One in which a fortunate elect are saved from an otherwise tragic creation, and another in which all of creation is being worked out and will eventually be reconciled and restored back to God. I know which vision I prefer... 1210

Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 20/11/2024I'm not trying to convince anyone to stay, but it would be hard to give up that network, especially now that I'm planning on a new podcast project in the Spring. And I still want to keep tabs on how the Regime is justifying things to itself 120
Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 20/11/2024The plan now is to give sheep a try - purchase in the Spring, butcher in the Fall. Minimum viable infrastructure: electric fence, waterer and hose, mobile tent for shade, no hay. 170
Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 20/11/2024I ran meat chickens last year but I probably won't do it again. Even rotated and pastured, the feed costs are substantial. Doesn't make sense when *checks notes* ruminants exist. There is also the little thing that my chicken tractor washed away in the flood, seems like a sign 6170

Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 19/11/2024Great and terrifying book. Perhaps setting it in 2024 is a bit ahead of schedule, but not by much 3200

Jason Snyder @cognazor.bsky.social · 19/11/2024I’d give some more homestead updates but mostly I’m just replacing the fencing around trees that washed away in the storm. Pleasant enough, but not exactly click-bait 3290
