When we presented it I think one girl called it alien cauliflower 🤣

OH the green was that purple cauliflower! I got the carrot and that at my local co-op. We boiled it, it should have been roasted, but hey we slathered it in local butter 🤣

We blew it outta the water and got extra points on our final exam. We like finished cooking 15min before class and got there and were like we'll go first, it's all still hot 🤣 nothing was plated, all in pans too. But the professor had plates and stuff. Both the prof & class rated the meals.

Oh btw the farm gave me a tour cuz my dumb ass explained why I wanted the pork chops from a local farm and I saw a cow being gutted 🫠

It was a freshman experience class, your classmates were all related majors, idk wtf she was but she did wanna be there and she was like a rich valley girl type, she got the ice cream, the least work. We cooked this all in my dorm hall in the washroom/kitchen 🤣 I had to have friends check 2 girls in

For my final I think it was we had local eggs made into deviled eggs as an app, then I got farm fresh pork chop we made with orchard apples a girl picked, and the local carrots/maple syrup baked from a co-op, (we had some sauteed green?), and then the laziest girl bought locally made ice cream 🙄

My fam+ relatives rent a house in Virginia for thanksgiving, so everyone is gonna be using the oven and no one mentioned any veggies, so I want to make something bright and semi healthy. Roasted veggies for the bill. Ain't none of them having salad 🤣

I really wanna do maple roasted carrots, maybe with rosemary. Fun fact, a final for one of my freshman courses was to make a farm to table meal and present it to the class, and I did apple pork chops and maple roasted carrots and they came out amazing We got A's, my teamade other stuff too?

I'll definitely roast some for thanksgiving tho!

I tend to enjoy roasting them with carrots first, then adding them to the soup, just adds more flavor.

I made Butternut Squash Soup, was lazy and bought the squash precut and didn't roast them, it came out pretty bright/sweeter than usual. Started having some before I took a pic 😅
