Running the CLI migrates your .taskless/ layout. That covers the directory. A rule whose matching changed under a new engine version comes through untouched. taskless update walks a ledger and names what changed for the rules you have. 0.11.2 makes init tell you to run it.

Hello oxlint - Taskless 0.11.3 will detect oxlint and offer to help write an oxlint rule for you if it can't find one in the oxlint's vast directory. Markdown files are nice, but enforcement is better. <3 What linter(s) should join oxlint in the next release?

At 22 Craig Campbell thought Facebook's metrics reviews were dumb. He just wanted to ship and get his bonus. Looking back he calls that soft process step the secret sauce, and he still runs it solo today.
