I was going to get the train today. But I am increasingly concerned at the deficit I’m running with Great Northern Rail. I buy a lot from them and they purchase nothing from me. Tempted to apply a 20% tariff. Sure my tickets will cost 20% more but it might mean I buy fewer and reduce the deficit.

I don't object to considering a person's future in sentencing, but this must be weighed against "the futures" of potential victims. Surely this kind of violation of human rights disqualifies a person to be entrusted with the care of others. They can have no future as a doctor.

The only way to fix inequality is to tax wealth, not work. You'd think the party of the worker would get that very basic idea. I'm voting for any party that can implement a very basic 1% tax on wealth of more than £10 million. Wouldn't hurt reducing income tax at the same time either.
