"Ough. Just gotta... there we go."

Switchbox set the huge box down on their kitchen table, wiping their brow a little from exertion. The package wasn't something they had ordered, but it had arrived on their doorstep, tall and wide enough to almost block the door. There was no mistake, either; it was clearly labeled for them, so with a sigh, they had taken the effort to bring the giant thing inside.

The shark wasn't exactly suited to carrying weighty packages, despite having experience hauling around something heavy: namely, their own flabby bulk. Years of snacking on ice cream sandwiches and other goodies had bloated them out with enough fat that it was difficult to wedge their ample rear through doorways. Their cyan-scaled belly hung low, brushing past their knees with layers of thick, plump blubber. They sometimes had trouble fitting that through their apartment's entrance, too... It wasn't uncommon that Switchbox had to use their paws to squish at their own mass, shaping their own yielding expanse into something more agreeable with doorways.

Thinking about squeezing at themselves always brought a hot flush to their mechanical face, eyes involuntarily flickering into flustered arrows and the three holes on both sides of their head lighting up with bright red LEDs. It wasn't their fault. They couldn't help that their fat was so sensitive to touch... But deep down, they couldn't deny that it felt good to be so massive. To feel their billowing chest stretch out any shirt or bra they owned, to strain their pants with their enormously soft thighs. It may have been some effort to carry their mass around, but somehow, none of their diet plans stuck. Besides plans to eat a whole tub of ice cream.

Right now, though, Switchbox had more pressing matters than thinking about their fat. "Let's see here..." they murmured to themselves, running a claw through the packing tape sealing the mysterious box shut. It cut through like a knife through butter, and the cardboard flapped open. "Probably just an order I forgot about."

As it turned out, it wasn't. What it was was a beautifully decorated cake box, sturdy enough to not crush the contents through mishandling but covered in art of blooming, delicate flowers. There was a note taped to the top of it. Curious, Switchbox picked it up, gentle whirring audible as they tried to figure out what this could possibly be.

"Dear Switchbox- happy birthday! Of course, you need cake on your birthday, but I've always found that the best gifts are experiences. I hope that this will be one that sticks with you- and on your figure- for a long while to come. My best, Sol."

Switchbox's LED eyes narrowed in suspicion. An experience? What did that mean?

They found out when a ghostly hand, glowing a bright orange, appeared in front of them with a muted pop. It wasted no time floating to pry the cake box open, going about its business like nothing was wrong. As Switchbox was reeling in surprise, another two hands followed it into reality, this time taking up firm positions grasping their shoulders. Playfully but carefully, they pushed Switchbox's heavy, flailing mass down onto a comfortable cushion that definitely hadn't been there a few seconds ago.

Quickly peering up from their new position on their back, they could see the contents of the box. True to the note, it held a wedding-sized cake, multi-layered and enormous, with rich layers of icing that lined up with their cyan-and-pink coloring. It was clearly meant for them. Probably in its entirety. Switchbox couldn't help but swallow their nerves at the daunting idea of eating all that, but they also couldn't help but salivate a little at the thought.

As if reading their mind, the hand that had opened the box grabbed a huge handful of cake. Icing and crumbs smooshed into the gaps between its fingers, but it didn't seem to care about the mess; it had what it wanted. It began to float over to Switchbox. The hand moved slowly, tantalizingly, as if it wanted to build anticipation in the shark's gut. Its ploy worked; traitorously, Switchbox's massive tummy rumbled, set into action by the sight of a treat.

But their hesitation, their embarrassment at the idea of eating an entire cake, stopped them. Nerves shot through them like electricity. They shouldn't just stuff themselves without abandon. Normal people had self-control, restraint. They opened their mouth to say "Wait-"

And the ghostly hand promptly used the opportunity to press the scoop of cake it had grabbed into Switchbox's mouth. Dimly, around the shock of deliciousness shooting through their tongue, they realized that it was actually ice cream. The taste was irresistible; the perfect ice cream cake, sweet and creamy and decadent. Whoever had taste tested this had done an excellent job. Before they knew it, they were gobbling the treat down of their own volition, leaning into the hand feeding them. Their belly growled in satisfaction. It wanted more. They wanted more.
