Today on the workbench: not a train. Scalextric Lotus Exige R-GT. Just a quick tune up which turned into a bigger project to test LEDs. Wired them to the rally lights since it deeply bothered me it wasn’t done at the factory.

I need to get caught up posting about my bikepacking trip, but for now here’s a few highlights! Mediocre AirBnB internet makes bluesky hate uploading photos unfortunately

One of these has been sitting on a shelf at my local place for months. Although I can’t tell if nobody actually wants it or if it’s the placement on the top shelf

“Yeah it’s brand new in box, can you just throw some paint on it?” Alright please explain to me why it has a bad clearcoat and is missing handrails

I love my little car, but the amount of terror while being tailgated by something so tall that I can only see the manufacturer logo belongs in a horror movie

First build of my HO scale Porter 0-6-0 fireless kit is done! I couldn’t be more pleased with how this has come out. It is the most accurate Porter fireless model ever produced down to the notches on the reverser. All that remains is to write instructions. The first kits will ship in September!
