Oh, nice of Twitch to show a warning popup that "Captions Are Now Enabled on Your Clips" so I could go in and turn it off. I've heard about this coming, and I don't need Tiktok-esque bullshit and _definitely_ not LLM slop. Turn it off under Dashboard > Settings > Stream > Clips Settings

Two new settings turned off in the Twitch dashboard under Settings, Stream, Clips Settings.

The first is "Allow viewers to add captions": When enabled, viewers can add captions to new clips they create from your stream. Turning this setting off won't remove captions that already exist. You can remove captions when exporting clips from Twitch.

The second is "Add captions when using 'Clip That'": "When enabled, clips that are created using the "Clip That" command will have captions added by default."

Hey Twitch, how about no? (Apparently some streamers are already seeing these goofy-ass Tiktok-esque captions automatically appearing on their clips and I have to wonder if it is related to this slop feature nobody asked for. If it is happening to you, check Dashboard > Stream > Clips Settings)

Auto Clips Waitlist ALPHA

Toggle on to request to join Alpha testing of Auto Clips, an AI-supported tool that identifies engaging moments from your streams, and helps you automatically create and publish clips with captions, including clips that contain multiple moments from your stream, saving you time on clip creation and editing.

If you are accepted into the testing, Auto Clips will be enabled for your channel and the tool will auto-create and auto-publish clips to your channel for you. The clips are your User Content under our Terms of Service, and you can delete the clips or opt out of the testing at any time. Alpha testing is currently only available for English language channels with VODs and clips enabled.

Holy crap, YouTube actually gave a heads-up about automatically opting people into their auto-dubbing slop feature. It's still not as good as defaulting to off and making it a voluntary opt-in, but in 2025 where everything is forcing slop everywhere, it's something.

An email from YouTube:

Hi CnEY,

We’ll soon enable automatic dubbing on your channel. This means that YouTube will automatically generate translated audio tracks in different languages, making your content accessible to more viewers.

No action is needed – we’ll enable this on your channel in the coming weeks. Once enabled, when you upload a new video, we’ll automatically add the dubbed audio to your video. Over time, we may also dub previously published videos. In some cases, we may be unable to generate the dubbed audio – you’ll be able to see the status of dubbed audio in YouTube Studio.

Effective today, you can turn off automatic dubbing for your entire channel in your Channel settings > Upload defaults > Advanced settings > Automatic dubbing.

Once auto dubbing is enabled for your channel, while uploading new videos, you’ll also have the option to turn off automatic dubbing for that video. Bombing: -32 (can't dip below 0, obviously)
Clearing a stage: +56 (+8 for stages 1 through 7)
Stick movement pattern #1: when 3 or more enemy bullets are on screen, repeatedly tapping the stick in the same direction will add +1 per tap
Stick movement pattern #2: if the stick is held in one direction for 1 second then the opposite direction for 1 second while 3 or more enemy bullets are on screen, rank -1
Repeated detection of stick pattern #2: if movement pattern #2 is detected 4 times in a row, a +48 rank penalty will be applied; the penalty can be reset by tapping left/right three times, then up/down

OK, so something utterly ridiculous happened to me in Prodeus last night. These are 3 _consecutive_ gameplay frames, where a sniper manages to instantaneously change its mind and pivot 135 degrees.

Frame 2: the other enemy just took a hit from another enemy; where's the sniper aiming now?
