I am done with excuses for this kind of behavior: it is unacceptable. We deserve leaders who uplift, not degrade. We deserve a President with humanity and decency. America deserves better than this.

Trump’s post isn’t just offensive – it is a disgrace to the office, our country, and our values. Racism is not a meme. His depiction of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama is vile and full of hate, but it can never erase their legacy of dignity and leadership.

This year’s theme, “Every Kind of People…The Blueprint for Unity,” calls us to embrace acceptance and respect. Each year, we honor his enduring legacy, but we must recommit ourselves every day to the principles he championed — justice, equality, and unity — through both word and deed.

“Let us all hope that the dark clouds of racial prejudice will soon pass away, and that the radiant stars of love and brotherhood will shine upon our great nation.” This quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. continues to resonate today.
