Trump’s post isn’t just offensive – it is a disgrace to the office, our country, and our values. Racism is not a meme. His depiction of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama is vile and full of hate, but it can never erase their legacy of dignity and leadership.

The anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian graffiti at Walt Whitman High School is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. Every student, family, and resident has the right to feel safe at school and in their communities.

Yesterday was my first full Council session! The Muslim American Heritage Month Breakfast & Proclamation and the Korean American Day Proclamation were an opportunity to honor each community's history, culture, and tremendous contributions to our community.
