The recaps at the beginning of many Friday the 13th films seem to acknowledge that the individual entries are expected to be forgettable. These movies were released almost every year in the 1980s so in theory audiences would always be up to speed.

There’s a TikTok creator I follow who has started incorporating bloopers and mistakes into her posts. This is one of a few changes she’s made recently to personalize her content. I appreciate the effort but all the errors and misspoken words actually make her videos less watchable 😬

This definitely forbidden gummy is in fact a moth larva of genus Olona (possibly Olona zolotuhini). It's *normal* to want to know what flavor it is, but the answer, unfortunately is "pain". Most species in this family are covered in tiny stinging spines connected to poison glands. (📷: Janice Ang)

It should be noted that funding was supposed to be announced in January 2025 but the Trump administration cut the budget and delayed making awards until now. It's not an exaggeration to say that lives have likely been lost due to the delay in funding these vital community health centers.

I don't usually talk about my work on here but my mom and I wrote four of these successful applications in 2024. I am immensely proud of this work and heartbroken that my mom is not here to celebrate. Her work will extend access to care to tens of thousands of low-income people across the country.
