A parchment style chart mapping historical and fantasy novels along two axes: History ↔ Fantasy and Prose ↔ Plot. The upper left shows literary historical works like Hild and The Song of Achilles; the upper right shows literary fantasy such as Tigana and The Lord of the Rings. The lower left features plot driven historical fiction like The Winter King and Warlord, while the lower right includes plot driven fantasy such as A Game of Thrones and Dragonlance Chronicles. Finn’s Legacy by Chris Hind appears at the center-left to reflect its legendary history roots and its balance of prose and plot.
