#RogueTrader Spoiler for Void Shadows/Chapter 4. Jocasta, are you *really* sure, you threw anyone suspicious out the airlock? Like... we're not keeping that thing! Not happening. Even if I adopted a few questionable xenos, I absolutely draw the line at these guys. (Funny bugs are funny bugs :P)

Note to past me: Finish the Cain books before starting with Gaunt's Ghosts & Yarrick. I have a surprisingly hard time getting back into vibing with the personified imposter syndrome. The book is over and I'm like: But where existential dread and despair, where unhealthy amount of contempt and hate?

More #RogueTrader Spoiler Warning! End of Chapter 2, Magnae Ascensio. Honey, said bedchamber is right next door. You could've just waited for me there. To "outline our relationship" ✨ (One of the choices I can never not pick, it's such an unexpected wording I don't care it's NOT meant this way.)

Rogue Trader Screenshot. Xavier Calcazar wording things suggestively. I don't care he's threatening the RT, he - and Heinrix - can walk right over to said bedchamber and do that "relationship outlining" with those "sensitive hands". My RT would happily comply. Haha ha... ha.
Ngl, if there was an actual Calcazar romance, I would be nicer to him later in the game. At the very least I wouldn't pick Heinrix for once or go for the Nomos Icono ending, lmao. (Sorry for misusing Alt Text.)

Random #EliteDangerous headcanon unlocked while playing #RogueTrader: The Generation Ship Thetis in Nefertem (visit it if you haven't!) accidentality picked up a message from Khorne. (Sometimes I wish ED & 40k were more compatible for silly headcanons. Then again, it's better for ED they are not.)

Screenshot from the game Rogue Trader. Talking about how a vox signal corrupted someone.
The megaship Thetis in Elite Dangerous has a similar story of corruption via vox.

40k update because 'Praetorian of Dorn' is living rent-free in my head since a week ago: Never felt so split about a book before. I knew I would both like & dislike it. Ended up liking things I expected to dislike & vice-versa. The worst part is: I can't tell if it's my bias - the writing - or both.

#EliteDangerous Does anyone have an idea how to fix - on Legacy Horizons - "Invalid Token" / "The game failed to communicate with the authentication server" ? All available information online talks about steam keys. This is a standalone Frontier account. The Live version launches just fine.

This is both funny and a bit concerning: I had more problems getting Elite: Dangerous to update than getting my controllers and keybindings to work.

Really, Discord? I haven't been active in months. Two weeks ago, I tried to join a server. It failed. I was logged out twice in a row with no additional info. Apparently this was considered "spam". Trying to use Discord as intended and Discord itself failing to deliver... was considered "spam".

I remember a lot of #EliteDangerous CMDRs switching to or at least trying GeForce Now when consoles got discontinued, so this might be of interest to some. According to NVIDIA it was related to one of their local partners earlier this month, but in any case - stay safe CMDRs wherever you're from o7

Someone stop my descent into Warhammer 40k. Status: some 50 books (mostly audio/some paper), 300h of games, what do I know how many lore videos & wiki pages. In like 10 months? At this rate we might reach 3312 irl before I get back to Elite 😭 Also didn't do much VP but here's modded Space Marine 2.

Virtual Photography, Space Marine 2. Yes, it's a Space Marine. Yes, it's modded Alpha Legion. No, it's not Alpharius. (Or maybe it is.)
Bit graphical I guess. Tyranid is very dead though.

Incoming Rant 🙃 You've been warned. I'm back after taking a break for a few months. Spent the afternoon getting everything set up again. Redid my exploration route. And what happens? The first target I picked features yet another variation of a exploration related bug I wasn't aware of yet. Nice.

Due to 'The Expanse: Osiris Reborn' -> 'wanna test out Owlcat Games games' -> 'Rogue Trader looks interesting...' - I started listening to WH40k audiobooks. And I'm so happy because I found a whole new rabbit hole to dive into, but I'm also scared because the only thing I do know about WH40k: 💰💰💰

Sometimes all it takes is a single screenshot. 🥰 I'll admit, the Corsair wasn't really speaking to me in terms of design. (don't @ me) But somehow... this angle with the colour and kit?? Yeah, somehow this does it for me and I don't even know why exactly. Good to know, she can grow on me after all~

Today on "You take a break from Elite and get reminded of it in the most absurd way possible": Was reading about different negotiation models/tactics. At one point I suddenly thought 'Oh sweet, I heard that before! Sounds like that one Tourist Beacon about the Sirius Convention.' Brain, c'mon, why.

commission.europa.eu/document/8af... If only this would be enforced, sigh. For years now I've had a spreadsheet to convert ingame currencies to euros to actual purchase costs. Every time I type in "prices" I wonder how tf this became necessary and then decide against the purchase.

[off topic] Suddenly had 'unavailable items' on my Steam wishlist & my owned games number was down. Turns out there are new-ish age rating regulations in my country. Protecting me from buying such dangerous games like *checks notes* Papo & Yo and Shelter? These regulations are not it, seriously...

[off-topic] Still sorting through & cleaning up old drives - came across a ton of AMVs from the late 2000s/early 2010s. Looking them up on YouTube really hits hard: Most of them don't exist anymore. Unsurprisingly, I guess. Hope some of the creators now edit professionally, there was so much talent.

Do you still call it 'solar eclipse' if it's another star that's doing the eclipsing? In any case... three suns in the sky always remind me of the 'Remembrance of Earth's Past' book series and now I want to read/listen to it again. #EliteDangerous #StellarScreenshots

Thor's no more~ Thanks again to everyone who helped taking it down o7 (I'm on my way back to the Bubble, so I probably can contribute a bit more to the next one than just screenshots of its demise...) #EliteDangerous #StellarScreenshots

Closeup. A group of Thargoid Scouts. One is exploding in a bright yellow-greenish cloud.

Probably 20 Thargoid Scouts being the victims of a rather nice bug. Their escape portal is created inside a asteroid - so they can't leave and are stuck in the instance. It's a rather colourful bunch. Like a flowerbed.

Titan Thor, bellyside. Starting its explosion. The fine ring of blue sparks is visible.

Titan Thor, bellyside again. During the explosion.
