The final compile turns it into a standalone single block of semi-readable code, attached shows full code for a piece and how it looks. It gets minified to 1 or 2 character variables, turned into a url with embedded data. Its size means it fits in a blockchain token pool.pm/asset1s79pfc...

The stranger the world gets, the more I’m drawn to share art with you. This piece kicked off in 2023, not fully done yet, part of a quirky set of half-finished works. I’ll get around to finishing them one day—sworn it to myself. In this unpredictable storm, the sun’s brilliance is my lifeline.

Why go to this length to make tiny sketch datas?? Because Cardano on-chain art has a hard limit of 16kb. Very tight for generative art pieces that have no dependances! Canvas core(5kb) + Sketch(4kb) + Decoder(1kb) = 10kb !! Meaning I have 6kb for fun code that uses all that data! 🔥

One thing that's different than other sketch tools out there is that you don't save files! Instead it gives you a compact block of text data that is the sketch. This one is 4kb of data.

The experiments continue! Still heading for a watercolour look. Am I getting there? Let me know! Currently experimenting with a 'wetness' map. Like how artists wet areas of a canvas so colours bleed into that area. Will it work? 🤔 #generativeart #javascript #creativecoding

Astralis: is derived by combining the idea of the celestial (“Astral”) with the essence of life’s sustaining force (“Vitalis”), a star-driven vitality. It draws on the concept of radiant energy fueling chemical reactions, growth, life, civilization, and the emergence of all that thrives
