Bit of positive news to start the week: the online voter registration system voter.ie is now live nationwide (having previously worked only for Dubliners) - now anyone in the State can register or update their details on the electoral register in a couple of minutes using only their PPS number.

This is deeply saddening. That child is being indoctrinated into hatred. My thoughts for what it is worth, children are fundamentally good but adults change them.

I love libraries. We went every Saturday mornings as children. Wherever I have lived in the world I joined the local library. Now I go each week with my son. Libraries are just brilliant. One of humanity’s best achievement.

Really important journalism. Thank you for sharing the real stories of people’s experiences and hopes and dreams. It was a real sobering read. I will be reading your books and educating myself.

You are so correct. It’s heartbreaking and young people are dead. Why or how does not change that. Social media is toxicity that feeds on us and ultimately makes us lesser. My prayers are with the families and those still in hospital. Hopefully they all will recover.

I love this . What’s the company that make them? Or is it really old? You might guess my car and van knowledge is very limited.

CMAT is just joyous to see in concert. Wonderful artist and very funny. I think her lyrics really are something special as well. Being treated vile by online for her real self, it’s awful. CMAT Abu.

Completely agree. They are awful and destructive of people, and as a parent of sports mad teens, I hate that they are part of the coverage.

My cat got stuck in a cattle drain today. 3 hours later, and he is free. Having lovely friends and neighbours is just the best.

I am sorry about your dog, that’s tough. A joke from my 12 year old, to raise a little smile. What did the traffic lights say to the car? “Don’t look at me , while i am changing “ He thought it was very funny.

Just a question about weather forecasts. How many days weather forecasting is accurate? Is it for the coming 5/7 days or is that too long a time span to accurately forecast? Thank you and enjoy your presence and sharing of information here.

I work in a lot of schools which are designated disadvantaged. Food poverty is a real issue and I also think that children eating together, with no stigma, for those who don’t have the same means to provide food, is a really important part of the social side of education. It is a leveller for all.

Years ago my friend had a game boy and I tried then, lots of times since then on different devices. It’s just something I can’t get into. Don’t know why as I love Sci fi and fantasy epics.

It seems like the whole world has forgotten Afghanistan 🇦🇫 I never see reporting about the atrocities that Afghan women and girls in particular, but also Afghan men and boys, have to live with daily. It’s a country operating gender apartheid, with no consequences.

Me and my sisters always give each other chocolate oranges. Kids are not allowed to eat them. Don’t like the mint one’s though. Has to be orange.
