It’s just that whenever I hear he has taken a project in London I wonder if his decision was influenced by that being where GA lives/if they see each other

Agreed. We need someone with more charisma than me to do some recruiting!

Thank you! One breath was my favorite when I was younger and I always loved this scene. It was fun to draw and the tiny tuft of hair on the back of his head sends me.

Found this tv guide interview with David Duchovny from filming for the X-Files season 4 while going through my old stuff. Interesting commentary from Gillian Anderson on his personality tossed in there!

Am I the only one that had a MASSIVE crush on Robin watching these as a child?

I love the little bristley argument they have

LOVE Rhea Seehorn, and this sounds promising 😊

Interesting point. I always thought that line was odd because Mulder is a father only in Scully‘s eyes and likely by biology, but he was never really a father in terms of caring for William. So why would he consider that such an important part of his identity? Your theory makes sense.

For me - visualizing how planes actually land, since they appear slow, controlled, parallel with the ground - reminding myself that planes, and this particular plane, travel this route multiple times a day every day safely - “this is just another commute” just like a bus, train, car etc

Yes, why did we all have to watch this? What was the reason

I wish he would speak about these issues in specifics (what happened? What part was he taking seriously that seems less important now?) rather than or in addition to the illusions. Maybe he has or is working up to it

For me it’s a choice between oil goo-cakey or bone dry dessert-cakey texture 😵‍💫 yet your cat is great. Kudos!

I can’t handle pastels personally, but I always feel they give such a great and unique texture 🙌🏻

Guaranteed artist who have been victimized in this way would have their own take on failure. And be able to differentiate failure from using power to harm and being called out for it.

I would love to see him interview artists who have been the victim of gendered violence by a powerful, respected creative. (Would not be hard to find.) To really ponder and confront the individual and cultural/systemic impact that flows from this kind of abuse.

Repeatedly in the podcast DD wants to talk about the cultural value of an abusers art (a valid topic imo) but never ever mentions the victim and their perspective. Never clarifies what the abuser/artist actually did. He always seems to dance around that and pull the spotlight away.

I’ve enjoyed the Fail Better podcast interviews - DD has a gift for seeing and drawing out his guests. Though I’ve noticed a pattern of blurring “failure” with active harm/abuse. Struck me again in the new interview with Jaleel White, when Bill Cosby came up (~minute 50)

I had to make a mental note to write less often of them saying each others names at particular ~moments~ cause yeah, it just makes sense. Their names and which names they call each other hold power and meaning.

What's this? Just Mulder getting a little steak sauce off of Scully's cheek as they share a meal (on the FBI's dime of course) at Ruth's Chris. 🥰 Everyone go follow and commission @rosenkranz.bsky.social, they are an amazing artist and did such a good job with this. ☺️☺️☺️

Mulder and Scully sitting across from one another at a table in Ruth's Chris, a steak restaurant. Under the glow of low lighting, Mulder is wiping a small bit of sauce from Scully's face.
