I got Utah, too, which, yeah I grew up here, but my map is much different than yours. Apparently my dialect is quite a bit different than the majority of the country.

Dialect map with deep red in Utah and California coast and deep blue in the deep south. The majority of the map is blue with pockets of yellow in the western plains, western great lakes area and orange in the PNW.

My husband and I are currently on a road trip to MS. We made a short detour to Abeline KS to vist the Eisenhower Presidential library and museum. Would have loved more time. There is a greyhound appreciation museum across the street. It was closed today. No puppy snuggles.

When did fried calamari stop coming shaped like calamari? This is the second restaurant that has brought me cheese stick shaped squid. I need it to remind me I'm eating tentacles so I don't eat it all myself.

I was shocked! to find this album in my very straight-laced parents collection. I confiscated it for proof.

I made vanilla, vanilla paste, and vanilla sugar for gifts for friends this year. Which means I had to be thinking about this in September to start everything. Please clap.

Packaged gifts include small jars of vanilla, vanilla paste, and vanilla sugar laid carefully in boxes lined with brown crinkled paper to keep the glass from changing against each other.

I got a new tattoo this month to commemorate swimming with the sharks in Hawaii in October. For someone who grew up in a landlocked state the ocean is so therapeutic for me. My husband and I got SCUBA certified when he was stationed in California then we moved away from the ocean forever.
