Making unwavering hope and emotional intelligence such core parts of how I present online is a two-edged sword. On one hand it makes me feel really stupid and fake whenever I'm depressed and spiraling, on the other, it's a nice reminder I can legitimately be a good person most of the time

It's really funny how much of a 180 my mother did with me. She demanded so much from me as a child and raised me to be very competent in a lot of ways, but the instant I got diagnosed for autism as a teen she started infantilizing me and treating me as incompetent and I stopped being a person to her
