Great visit to the newly refurbished Carlisle Library for the @librariesconnected.org.uk North West meeting today. So great to see such a large space dedicated to children and families. ❤️ ( @librariesrising.bsky.social )

Interesting to learn about free licensing arrangements in the 1860s, which possibly explains how/why my great great great grandfather was fined multiple times for Sunday trading. The problem with having incredibly ordinary ancestors is that the only extra record of them is when they broke the law 🤷🏼‍♀️
