usually I do one small chore before going to work (like unloading the dishwasher), but today I got possessed. did dishes, organized my closet, tidied and wiped the counters, and I have my sights set on the last bit of unfinished laundry languishing in my closet

000

clove @clovedreams.bsky.social · 10/09/2025

feeling slightly more normal after getting groceries, dishes, vacuuming + mopping, cooking, and more dishes. tomorrow will be some more cleaning/cooking + finishing the half-done laundry from last week. and then I should be able to appease the angry housewife

I've been reading cooking manga (witch hat kitchen, kakuriyo, and to a lesser extent way of the househusband) and I just love how cooking and eating together are always presented

clove @clovedreams.bsky.social · 21/08/2025

augh I've been exhausted lately but I'm still cooking - sunday brunch eggs benny was great, store bought breakfast potatoes were meh. forgot to take a pic - pavlova was great, leftovers not so much. but anything meringue has a lifespan of 2 seconds

picture of pavlova, a meringue dessert. it's topped with peach slices, blueberry sauce, and whipped cream

I was supposed to get a necklace charm with the phases of the moon but the one that came seems to only have the new moon

a picture of a silver, rectangular necklace pendant that's black in the middle. the moon phases are either absent or they only have the new moon for some fucking reason

000

clove @clovedreams.bsky.social · 07/08/2025

brunch has been moved to 2:30 pm which is great bc I was fearing having to get up early to bake pavlova (it takes 2 hours) - is it still brunch if it's 2:30 pm? eeeeeeeehhh maybenot but breakfast is objectively the best meal of the day soooo

000

clove @clovedreams.bsky.social · 07/08/2025

also I can't sleep so I'm planning out grocery stuff in advance. I'm tired of shopping every week so I'm gonna ask if we can do every other. we can probably use more frozen produce (the housewife in me always wants to use fresh) and such so hmmm

100

clove @clovedreams.bsky.social · 07/08/2025

I made vegetarian wontons, I was worried the fake beef wasn't holding together well so I just. added more egg and some butter (since ground meat usually has fat) and it kinda worked?

a bowl of wontons in a chili sauce topped with green onions
