Gizmo was sleeping in my lap and I opened a snack and the crinkly bag made him jerk awake but then he just stayed frozen in the jerked awake pose and fell back asleep by then Phone was off at the time, by the time I got it on for pictures he'd settled a tiny bit but stayed like this for a WHILE

CW for sad animal stuff Had to say goodbye to another shelter ferret today, I took his bondmate with him to be there. I just kinda wanted to share the picture. These two are so sweet. That's Chocolate (the lighter one, lol, on top) and Stewie (on bottom, who is no longer with us)

Gizmo is a crazy little troublemaker but he's so cuddly that a very reliable way to keep him out of trouble is to just pick him up and hold him As a result I rarely have two hands free at home anymore because so much of the time one is occupied thusly

BTW this is Gizmo =3 Scar looks gnarly but he's recovering very well, he's had lots of energy and appetite. But he's still got a stomach infection to clear up so he's on a pretty demanding med schedule while he recovers
