Skot Nelson @cloudtoolbox.bsky.social · 08/12/2024it’s essential—firstly, a diverse brain is a creative one. Second, #Salesforce exists in a larger tech infrastructure often not covered in Trailhead, where all problems are solved by SF products. 000

Skot Nelson @cloudtoolbox.bsky.social · 02/12/2024Salesforce is one of Amazon's largest customers on AWS. Google will not buy them. (The rumours of Google buying Hubspot seemed credible.) 000
Skot Nelson @cloudtoolbox.bsky.social · 02/12/2024I still think this was a poor decision--workflow rules were fantastically useful for simple automation (e.g. a time stamp, which is now a flow project.) It's even poorer for the fact that they're still an integral part of Approval Processes. 010
Skot Nelson @cloudtoolbox.bsky.social · 30/11/2024I mean, this is essentially “software solution checklist 101” so it’s all good advice, and emphasizes the fact that Flow is “low code” in marketing terminology more than reality. 000
Skot Nelson @cloudtoolbox.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Yeah, my first encounter with Hubspot was as Marketing Automation. Overall I think they’ve done a decent job of retrofitting a CRM onto it, but I still wouldn’t use it at scale. 110
Skot Nelson @cloudtoolbox.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Without completely disagreeing (30 years of history means change is incremental in SF) I always find Hubspot's data model lacks structure and integrity. Every instance I've worked with has had isolated, lost records. Also: email as unique key is...not always good. 100
Skot Nelson @cloudtoolbox.bsky.social · 26/11/2024My first SF org the devs always ignored the preview, which made no sense to me—we’re going to be running in that environment soon right? Years later, hands on dev and I see both sides of the argument now…good article. (My answer is “do both”) 110

Skot Nelson @cloudtoolbox.bsky.social · 25/11/2024All part of the gradual diminishing of team contributors in the creative arts: Album liner notes about production disappeared years ago, photography has been commoditized, and films are about the starts not the team that made it. 000
