I work with a school refuser. The only way they will enter the school building is if I show them a different picture of B-boy every day. I watch the tension leave their body as they look at him. Here is today's pic. He's a magical little being.

Just caught Nosey Nancy putting her smelly rubbish bags into next door's bin - a real no-no neighbour etiquette. "Not very nice is it?" I shouted over. She immediately jumped to the defense with excuses and explanations. "I meant the weather," I said calmly and she scuttled back into her house.

One of the little ones was weepy and irritable. Needed a cuddle. "I don't think the sleep king likes me," she wailed, "I didn't get any sleep at all." "I don't think the sleep king likes me either," I said and we both stuck our tongues out at him, except I flipped him the bird too (secretly).

When I was a brand new baby, my mum was strolling along Prince's Street carrying me in her arms. A gust of wind blew her flares, and they tripped her up. She broke her collar bone and lost a front tooth taking the brunt of the fall so I'd be safe. She never wore flares again.
