No stream this weekend, I got sick after successfully avoiding all kinds of sickies for 3 years and am still in the middle of coughing and sniffles. I'll try my best to recover properly so I'll be back soon! 🤧❤️

I've made the mistake of creating a wishlist of danmei I would love to get and the list already exceeds all of my past expectations. When has this become such a (positive) addiction that I do not want to let go of ever again. 😭 These damn books bring me so much joy, damn.

Wei Ying and Xie Lian have my whole heart, they're amazing main characters and I can't even tell you who I like more, they both have their ups and downs, strengths and flaws that make them feel like great characters you love to journey along with.

I know I still got the TGCF donghua (am in the middle of s2) and all of MDZS donghua and the live action series but it was still hard to close the last book respectively and accept that the story came to an end. One of those series where I could have read 100 more chapters ngl.

Cloe 🌊🐉 water dragon vtuber 🌊🐉 @cloevt.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Now that I have finished the novels series of TGCF and MDZS, I can proudly state: I'm not okay and this is my new standard for a queer fantasy with romance. 😅 These characters just mean so much to me, it was hard both times to close the last book and move on. Now on to SVSSS...

So yeah, in case you didn't know, I'm a silly water dragon on the internet who's absolutely head over heels for her silly little Boy's Love stuff and ships and I will never shut up about this ever again. It brings me way too much joy. 🌈

Cloe 🌊🐉 water dragon vtuber 🌊🐉 @cloevt.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Most of my community knows I'm a shipper by now so they even make funny comments and engage with my silly hyperfixation. I'm glad I was able to get more confident about sharing these things and just show this side of me because that's just who I am. 🩷💙

Cloe 🌊🐉 water dragon vtuber 🌊🐉 @cloevt.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I think I opened up more about it when I met people equally loving BL and was happy to be able to share it with them. Maybe also cuz I'm just that kinda person that can't shut up about something they genuinely like. And if someone doesn't like that, I guess they're free to leave?

100

Cloe 🌊🐉 water dragon vtuber 🌊🐉 @cloevt.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Sometimes I remember that some time ago, I didn't dare speak about my love for BL, neither on stream nor on socials. I thought it would bother people or they'd rather have me talk about games, maybe? Nowadays, I can't shut up about it and I think people got used to that. XD

Reorganizing danmei shelves just made me realize how many we own already and there's yet more to come. We have lots of vol. 1 of series and some of them have 5+ books so... At this point, we should just get a big freaking bookshelf just for danmei in our new apartment. 😅

The amount of working artists I've spoken to who are losing or have lost the ability to make a viable career out of it due largely to people's use of genAI instead of hiring artists is genuinely so upsetting. We won't know what we've lost until it's gone.

000

Cloe 🌊🐉 water dragon vtuber 🌊🐉 @cloevt.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

The solution of course would be to get my own 2D model but y'all know how expensive those are (and that's absolutely okay! I am not haggling here), I really can't afford that and can't even save up for it right now. 😭

100

Cloe 🌊🐉 water dragon vtuber 🌊🐉 @cloevt.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

But then I look into other customizable models and I am always missing something for my needs. Either no dragon tail (which is okay, I can take my current one with me that I'm still not 100% happy with though), only bulky horns, outfits too revealing etc. ... meh.

100

Cloe 🌊🐉 water dragon vtuber 🌊🐉 @cloevt.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Don't get me wrong, I'm not demanding free updates from any customizable model creator (I'd happily pay for a "DLC" addition) but it's another thing entirely when some issues never got fixed, stuff got promised but never released and also almost no communication...and then BYE...

100

Cloe 🌊🐉 water dragon vtuber 🌊🐉 @cloevt.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

The urge to get a new (customizable) model because my current one pretty much got "abandoned" from the creators in terms of planned updates/additions and after all this time, I still got some bugs/glitches/messy parts that never got fixed. But also, money...

This is fucking terrifying

Separate research supports the concern. Anat Perry, a Helen Putnam Fellow at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute and associate professor of psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, co-authored a paper in Science examining how sycophantic AI responses erode users’ ability to calibrate their own judgment. The paper found that when AI systems consistently affirm a user’s position, the user’s capacity for independent evaluation degrades over time.

Joanna Stern, NBC’s chief technology analyst and author of “I Am Not a Robot: My Year Using AI to Do (Almost) Everything,” has documented the creep of AI dependency in daily life. Her reporting has shown how users begin with low-stakes queries, such as what to cook for dinner or what to wear, and gradually escalate to consequential decisions about careers, finances, and relationships. The trajectory from convenience to reliance is difficult to reverse once established.
