Never forget Whit Whitman's 10-step 12-step method for masterful game directing! Never forget to porkon cows and always remember villains needs flaws and also more flaws! Unrelated, watch out for grifters in the #ttrpgcommunity.
An AI slop thumbnail for a YouTube video claiming to feature "The Whitman Method," subtitled "12 steps to masterful game directing."

On the left, under the title are the steps in two columns. On the right is an AI image of (presumably) Whit Whitman (a fellow known for not making good on some Kickstarter projects) in front of a bookshelf filled with TTRPG paraphernalia.

It lists the following 10 (not 12) steps:

1. Session Zero
2. Timeliness
3. Session lime
4. Mancipatonts
5. Porkon Cows
7. Connectiarg
8. Villain Flaws
10. Enveglments
11. Coural Done
12. Villain Flaws

Missing are 6 and 9, which is definitely NOT nice.

If ya'll ain't played "South of Midnight"... Why not?
A screenshot from a cut scene in the video game "South of Midnight." Pictured is the protagonist, a young Black woman, sitting atop a giant catfish as it takes her across the river.

She's wearing town jeans and a yellow tank top. She has a nose ring and multiple ear piercings. Her hair is held up in twin "boxer braids" and extend to her chest.Concept art for Compulsion Games' "South of Midnight."

For over 4 decades, this snippet of a song has played in my head with only a vague impression that it was a gang of animated cats singing it. Just two lines: "Ali Baba, you may not know But tonight, we're gonna win!" I eventually just accepted it was some sort of fever dream, but today...
The DVD cover of the 1971 Toei animation "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves." The title and marketing information is printed in Katakan and Kanji (Japanese writing), the title is romanized to "Aribaba to yonjūnin no tōzoku."

The art style is defined by late 60s/early 70s Japanese animation, with large, round heads and big eyes and mouths and an almost "chibi-like" aesthetic.

It features Ali Baba as a shirtless boy wearing a turban as he rides a magic carpet with a cat and other cats dance below him, particularly a large, pink cat that features prominently on the right. Various other characters are illustrated, along with a green/gold lamp at the bottom center.

Imagine being a grown ass man and getting your ass beat by GenZ/Alpha kids... (NOTE: Despite the caption, the girl/woman with the Choose Kindness Always hoodie was trying to de-escalate the situation.)
A screen grab of a Facebook post from Josh Helfgott, it features two images from an incident in which an adult man got into a verbal altercation with high schoolers who were demonstrating in their town before he physically assaulted a female student.

Several other teenagers stepped in to defend their peer, ultimately chasing the man away.

The first image shows students grappling the man as he try to maintain his balance. He is desperately clinging to his MAGA hat in his left hand.

The second image shows a girl wearing a black hoodie that says, "CHOOSE KINDNESS ALWAYS." Despite the caption, this person was actually trying to de-escalate the situation. They were truly choosing kindness.

Josh Helfgott captions his post with:

"If you've ever been beaten up by a teenager wearing a "Choose Kindness Always" hoodie, you should probably reconsider your life choices. "

The adult man in the image was identified as Chad Michael Watts and later arrested for two counts of assault causing bodily injury.

Adding another one from @mythworks.bsky.social to my collection. I'll try to find time to stream a run of this next year, hopefully before spring! #ttrpg #ttrpgcommunity #zines
An picture of the "Time Force" zine-style TTRPG by Myth Works.

The cover is blue with the title in bold, blue with thick white outline, all-caps font that is centered on the page, "Time" over "Force."

The title hovers over a blue and white circle, ostensibly a time portal. White movement lines emote outwardly from the circle.

Around the title are several figures. Starting at the 12 o'clock position and rotating clockwise:

12: a cartoonish tyrannosaurus rex with bulging yellow eyes and gaping maw is rising above the title.

2: a "chrononaut" (the games protagonists) wearing his chrononaut suit (strikingly similar to an astronaut suit), but also a bandolier with bullets, a Sombrero is flying off of his helmet, a six-shooter just out of reach, and a classic alarm clock just below the gun.

5: a chrononaut flying in Leonardo da V9nci's flying machine, a painting of the Mona Lisa with a chrononaut helmet (but you. An still see her hair?!) Floating out of reach.

6: a Roman-era vase with a chrononaut/centurion blend figure painted on it.

7: a chrononaut in Samurai armor weild8ng a katana and holding a scroll painting of a woman in a kimono but her face is a chrononaut face shield.

10: a chrononaut in a toga and crowned with an olive wreath reaching for an hourglass.

Along the top of the zine cover are printed the names of the authors Vincenzo Ferriero and Ray Chou and the artist Sebastián Adano.

A statue commemorating that time a dog accused a man of murdering its master, dueled the man in a Trial by Combat, and got the man to confess his crime, for which he was hanged.
A picture of the "Dog of Montargis" statue in Montargis, France that depicts a dog biting the neck of a man with his arms out and a panicked/pained expression.

The statue honors a 13th century legend of a dog avenging his murdered master (Aubry de Montdider) by winning a trial by combat against the killer (Robert Macaire), who confessed to the murder and was hanged.

The duel was ordered by King Charles V after the dog "accused" Macaire.

My favorite is Bubblegum Crisis (1987/1991 English). It's a limited series (8 episodes) in a cyberpunk setting. I probably like it way more because of nostalgia, but I think it holds up. There was a very limited follow up (BB: Crash, 3 episodes), a 1998 reboot (20+ episodes), and an R.Talsorian RPG.

When you have a GREAT game, but you're mad anyway: #tft #TeamFightTactics #RiotGames #LeagueOfLegends
A screen grab of the results screen at the end of a game of Team Fight Tactics, a "battlechess" game where you purchase champions and place them on a board, trying to find a strong combination of champions and board configurations to beat other players in the match.

Champions have 5 tiers of power with matching costs from the shop, White (1), Green (2), Blue (3), Purple (4) and Gold (5). Finding three of a particular champion in the shops combines them into a single 2-star champion. Having 3 2-stars of the same champion combines them into a single 3-star champion.

As you proceed in the match you gain 2 experience per round. Your level equals the amount of champions you can field on the board. Between rounds you can purchase XP 4 at a time at a 1-1 exchange.

You gain coins for winning a round, win or lose streaking, and holding on to coins (interest). Between rounds you are presented with a store of 5 champion to purchase or you can reroll the shop for 2 coins.

This shows I won the game with 6 3-star Champions on my board, 2 2-star Champions from the Gold tier, and a 2-star dragon Champion (dragons are a special aspect of this season of the game and have costs outside of the normal 1-5 and count as 2 champions on your board). This screen grab shows that I have a 2-star Aurelion Sol (a dragon champion in Team Fight Tactics; also a playable champion in League of Legends) in play, one on the bench, and 2 1-stars on the bench as well. The final 1-star is in my shop, which would grant me the 3-star Aurelion Sol.

I would have had the coin to purchase after the round, but it ended up being the winning round so I was unable to get the 3-star Gold tier dragon champ. I didn't need it to win, but 3-star 5 tiers have special casts and animations as well as it just being fun to say you got the 3-star.

Here's a #battlemap token I made (in Inkarnate) for our #Shadowrun #ActualPlay to represent a "Steel Lynx," which is a sort of wheeled mini-tank. This one is armed with rotating barrel chaingun. If it might have a place in something you are doing, absolutely take and use it. #TTRPG #TTRPGCommunity
A top-down view of a futuristic vehicle in heavy armor plating. It has four "legs," underneath which are meant to be wheels that cannot be seen from the top-down perspective, but could be imagined to have some manner of hover capability.

You can see places where wires extrude from one part of the body to others. The front of the vehicle is towards the bottom of the image. The box-like turret is turned about 5-10 degrees counter clockwise and it is armed with a large multi-barreled gun, protruding off-center on the turret.

An RPG virtual tabletop token for a character being played in a Shadowrun 5E campaign.

The character, Loophead, is a cybernetically augmented sniper. This is a bust portrait in a comic book style that shows her in a grey motojacket with thick, pink pads on the shoulder. She is wearing a pink motorcycle helmet with "cat ear" points. The faceshield is a screen currently projecting text emoji face ( ^ _ ^ ). She is also wearing headphones which fit over the helmet itself, with a pink and white band and grey cups. Long, flexible light tubes come down from the back of the helmet, almost like hair, in a variety of pinks, purples, and pastels. The helmer has a sticker under the right cat ear that has the letters BAMF over a comic book explosion effect. Ther are purple star stickers ounder the left ear and on the left headphone cup.

The background is a glitchy hot pink to electric blue circle border with a grooved interior (representing a vinyl record) and pink "glitter" dots surround the circle border. An RPG virtual tabletop token for a character being played in a Shadowrun 5E campaign.

The character, Popi, is an oni social adept (a face/grifter/con artist enhanced with magical glamours). Popi has bright blue skin and large anime eyes with yellow-brown irises. Her hair is styled in a bob that comes down to her jawline. Her bangs drop down between two blue horns that extend from her brow, above each eye. She has strong eye brows and long eyelashes. She is facing towards the viewers left, but her eyes are focused forward. She is wearing a white blouse with a pink bow centered on the collar. We can see she is wearing fingerless black gloves with knuckle spikes.

The background has shimmering distortions in neon colors, representing mana flows around her. The token border is a circle styled to look like marble with electric blue highlights and an inner ring of metal in a braidlike twist. An RPG virtual tabletop token for a character being played in a Shadowrun 5E campaign.

The character, Smokey, is a gnome rigger (a vehicle and drone operator) with certain "changeling" features. The art is in a 2D chibi style. We see a young, cherub-faced woman with pink/fuschia hair in a shag style, but with trimmed bangs. She has pink fox ears that are part of her changeling mutations. She has long eye lashes and thick purpole eyeshadow. Her left eye has a black sclera and a pink and blue iris. Her right eye is blue. She has an electronic monocle over the right eye. She has purple skin colorations spiking in over her cheeks and a sassy expression with an anime "tiger-tooth." She is wearing a high collared teal/sea-green jacket with yellow highlights and a teal/sea-green skinsuit with pink highlights underneath. She has several hair barrettes in her bangs: a green car, a skull and cross bones, a yellow star with checkered flag, a broken heart, and some manner of mana ball.

The background token border is a racing tire with various letters that one might find on a racing tire, including pressurization instructions and branding. It is lit up with pink fluorescent lighting. The interior has HUD style displays that warn that something (unknown) is "Repairing."An RPG virtual tabletop token for a character being played in a Shadowrun 5E campaign.

The character, Simon, is forensic mage. The art is a photobash image of a man with his black hair in a shoulder-length grunge style and a 5 o'clock shadow. He has dark eyes, probably with black eyeliner and is wearing a beat up black leather jacket. He is facing the viewer's left, tilting his head back (exposing a prominent adam's apple), with his eyes turning to the left. Behind him is an out of focus cityscape. Emanating from his body is a reddish haze.

The background token border is a metal spring tube reflecting red lights, with blood spatters superimposed over it.

I hate everything about it. I hate that I noticed it happening. I hate that they are doing it. I hate that Google AI is on top of every search. I hate that the AI overview had a tight summary. I hate it.
A text screengrab from Google's "AI Overview" of a topic with 3 bullet points. The third bullet point is highlighted in a thick red box. The text says:

Why Facebook auto-refreshes

• Encourages more engagement: Refreshing the page takes you back to the top of the News Feed, forcing you to scroll and see new and promoted content. This prevents you from simply returning to the exact post or comment you were looking at.

• Maximizes ad views: A full page reload guarantees that new advertisements will load, generating more money for Facebook.

• Prevents "fact-checking": Some users have noted that the refresh often happens when they switch tabs to investigate a suspicious claim. They believe this is an intentional design choice to make critical cross-checking more difficult.

Which system completely changed your perspective on what tabletop RPGs could be? #ttrpg #dnd #rpg #meme
A "motivational poster" style meme collage of six images over a set of text.

The text begins with a "header" or title centered from left to right in large font, all caps:

"RIFTS ROLE PLAYING GAME"

That is followed by an expounding statement in sentence format in smaller font, also centered from left to right:

"Because its (sic) a magic wielding, high tech epic [that's] set in a post apocalyptic setting of complete bad-assery. Thats (sic) why!"

The images are presented above the text in 3x2 grid starting (from left to right):

TOP

The cover art for the Rifts TTRPG "Atlantis" sourcebook, featuring a two-armed, tentacled alien with a gun and spear piloting a hovering barge that is also crewed by 3 human(?) women in leotards, wearing helmets and aiming futuristic blasters.

A gleaming silver mechsuit known as a "Glitterboy," holding a shoulder mounted railgun.

A dragon lying down in a forest clearing. It is curled up like a cat and a woman with black and red wings is laying against the dragon as if they are napping together.

BOTTOM:

A female vampire in a white dress being repelled by a cross brandished by someone outside of the image. The cross is starting to burn and the vampire has tears of blood.

A trio of humans(?) surrounded by a battle. A woman dual-wielding heavy blaster pistols is forward and center. On the left is a man who seems to be wielding energy between his hands. On the right is a large man with muscular arms holding a hefty stone hammer.

A feminine fire spirit or elemental.

On tonight's menu, Eat the Reich, a fantastic little TTRPG where you play vampire commandos slaughtering their way through scores of knotzees to get to shitler and drain him dry. It's a fkn good time. #TTRPG #TTRPGCommunity #EatTheReich
The cover art for the TTRPG "Eat the Reich," a cartoonishly violent game with an elegantly simple ruleset that caters to wild and outlandish narrative action in support of it's core conceit: you are a band of vampire commandos slaughtering masses of knotzees as you close in on shitler to waste him and drink his blood.

The image on the cover is of a stylized metal coffin with protruding bolts and an open peephole, from which a person with disheveled hair and wild eyes can be seen looking out. The coffin is in blue/purple tones, the person contrasts that in fluorescent pinks and teals.

Below the peephole is the title. "Eat The" is written in all capital letters in a simple sans serif font, centered on the page. "Reich" is in a highly stylish gothic font. The left leg of the R and the right leg of the H extend down, curving inward and ending at points in the semblance of vampire fangs.

Y'all, I didn't expect @avantris.bsky.social to go THIS hard with "The Crooked Moon." OK, a huge Kickstarter campaign, so I figured it would be professionally produced... but SIX HUNDRED PLUS pages?! And absolutely beautiful, with intense artwork throughout. They really poured their love into this.
A picture of "The Crooked Moon," a third-party sourcebook for Dungeons & Dragons 5E that was published by Avantris Entertainment. The book specifies a focus on "Folk-Horror Roleplaying."

On top of the upper right corner of the book is a pin featuring the head of "Chuckles the Clown," a character from the "Legends of Avantris" actual play that became a viral meme. The clown's chin extends to a point and the clown's conical hat is tilted forward. These features makes the pin into the shape of a crescent moon.

The art on the books cover features a scene that appears to take place in a haunted forest, under the gaze of a sinister face in a crescent moon. Several figures in fantasy cultural garb wearing skeletal animal masks (including rabbits, foxes, owls, and deer) dance ritualistically around a bonfire that burns in front of a towering "wicker man."A picture taken of a page in "The Crooked Moon," a third-party sourcebook for Dungeons & Dragons 5E that was published by Avantris Entertainment.

The image is meant to showcase the quality of the book by displaying an aesthetically pleasing layout, thematic page bordering, and high quality human-made artwork.

The art on this page takes up the top third of the page and features a grinning man wearing an old top hat that is pulled so low you cannot see their eyes. They are wearing a Victorian-era suit and have one hand extended, displaying crooked fingers with long claws.

It's Tuesday night! We're on www.twitch.tv/dndenial for our DnD Space Opera #ActualPlay "Beyond the Stellar Veil." Come say hi as we shoot across the stars, chased by dragons and gangsters and dragon gangsters! #TTRPG #TTRPGCommunity
A screen grab from @DnDenial's Tuesday night Twitch Stream, "Beyond the Stellar Veil," a Dungeons & Dragons based Space Opera actual play.

On the top row, from left to right:

@DavidJonesKrause plays Kessel, a green plasmoid druid/cleric.
@iSneezeStars plays Samanthar'ra, a tall goliath gunfighter with long purple hair.
The Title Card

On the bottom row, from left to right:

I've read Dragon Wing 7 times. Can you guess why?
A screengrab from Facebook of a post by author Margaret Weis.

It has an avatar image of Margaret Weis sitting at a table, resting her chin in her hand. She appears to be a woman in her late middle age or early senior years with conservatively styled silver hair.

At the bottom, it shows 3.9k likes/hearts, 355 comments, and 31 shares.

The text of the message is:

"Received news yesterday from Penguin Random House that Dragon Wing, the first book in the Deathgate series, has gone back to press for its Forty-Third printing! Forty-Third! First published in 1990. Just has to share! :)

"To clarify. The book has been in print continuously since 1990. It has never gone out of print. They have gone back to print because their stock is getting low."

We're streaming our DnD #ActualPlay, "Beyond the Stellar Veil," a space-based DnD campaign (not-Spelljammer). I'm playing The Captain, captain of the "Rascal's Rose." We're on the run from syndicates and dragons, but it's gonna be fine™. Stop by and say hi! www.twitch.tv/dndenial #TTRPG
A screen capture of The Captain, taken from the Hero Forge website.

The Captain is standing in front of what appears to be the moon.

The Captain is a "shifter" species from the Dungeons & Dragons TTRPG, specifically a "swiftstride. He has catlike features, orange skin, yellow eyes with slit pupils, and orange/yellow hair pulled back in a ponytail.

He is wearing an orange vest with blue and purple highlights, matching pantaloons, and a loincloth with a green belt. His has plated boots, is wearing a chest harness, and an amulet.

He also has a cybernetic left arm with what appears to be a small spike launcher mounted to it.

I wore this shirt into D.C. today and let me just say: You can definitely tell which protesters play #Helldivers 2.
An image of a black t-shirt with a graphic on it. The graphic is associated with the "Helldivers" IP, a video game that presents a satirical "Super Earth" that operates as a fascist society dressed up as freedom, liberty, and democracy.

The graphic features the bust of the eponymous "Helldiver," as specially trained and equipped shock trooper fighting on the front lines against Super Earth's enemies.

The Helldiver is in a full coverage helmet and armored torso, wearing a cape. It draws parallel with Storm Troopers from Star Wars, if Storm Troopers were venerated in an outlandish exagerrated version of how Americans honor their own troops ("Thank you for your service" coupled with a lacking interest in taking care of them after).

The Helldiver is imposed over heraldic devices, including a star-evoking grid, stars, and holly leaves. At the top it states:

"Service is Mandatory."

At the bottom it says "Spread Managed Democracy" (a term for the rigged voting system Super Earth uses).

Filling out the consent sheet for a #FabulaUltima campaign, I decided to abbreviate it as consent Form. Something about sending a GM I've never played with before a document called "Danny_FUCS" felt a smidge injudicious. 🤪 ANYWAY, looking forward to adding a new game to my played list! #TTRPG
The cover of the "Fabular Ultima" TTRPG.

The cover depicts an adventuring party (illustrated in classic "anime" style" and further detailed below) gathered together with a cloudy sky as the backdrop. A partially translucent illustration of a face dominates the sky behind them and to their left. Details of the face imply that this is a villain.

At the top of the cover is a translucent baroque ornamental sigil, under which the title is written in blue font, all caps, with the first letters of each word 10-15% larger than the rest of the letters. Between the two words is a orange/gold four point star with stubby left and right arms. Beneath this are the letters TTJRPG, highlighting that the game isn't just a TTRPG, but draws from Japanese-style Role Playing Games.

The party features a knight standing front and center, holding a sword and shield in a relaxed pose. He has a red plumed helm with a closed visor and a red skirt.

Behind him, from left to right are:

Facing left: A young woman with short white hair, blue-green eyes, white dress, green blouse, and green "witch's hat." She has gold-rimmed glasses and holds a locked tome with a glowing green gemstone on the cover.

Facing left: A young woman is raised higher than the others. She is looking up and shouting. She has long brown hair, a high collar vest over a long sleeve blouse in aqua and white. She appears to have a sword or dagger sheathed at her waist and pants that match her blouse.

Facing right: A young man with a scar on his face, short black hair pulled into a short, unkempt ponytail wearing purple and holding a shuriken.

Facing right: A young man holding an ornate pistol. He has short hair, brown skin, and is dressed in Victorian finery, browns and oranges, with a white, long-sleeved dress shirt.

The face in the sky is of a purple haired entity with purple energy flowing from the top of it's cheekbones. The eyes have dark purple sclera and bright pink irises with hot-pink, cat-like pupils.

As I write the script for my graphic series, I worry that I'm doing a bad job at pacing. Maybe I'm spending too many panels on some unimportant detail—or not enough on something that needs it. I'm afraid I'm jumping between scenes too much or nerfing the impact of big moments. #IndieComics #Comics
A black and white panel from "Coddlesworth's Clockwork Circus" Iss. #2.

In the panel, we see Rhiannon Coddlesworth, known to her employees as "Lady C," looking over her right shoulder to regard something off-panel. Her expression is one of dismayed shock and surprise. We can see that her hair is shoulder length and wound in tight coils (somewhere around 3C/4A curls) and she is wearing a wide-brimmed hat. Her top has poofy shoulders and trim indicating at least slightly formal attire and we can see she is wearing gloves.

A speech bubble is included, but the original text from the panel is removed and replaced with "I just know that I'm messing it all up, somehow, someway...," mirroring the sentiment of the text in the skeet.

Hey, I get to join a streamed 1-shot on Lady Lily's twitch (www.twitch.tv/ladylilyofla...). I get to return to a personal fave: the Baroness Merelda, a tiefling bardlock (Glamour/Archfey patron) with a knack for embellishing the truth. Come say hi, if you have a minute! #ActualPlay #TTRPG
An image of the D&D Player Character "The Baroness Merelda," a tiefling bard.

Merelda is a femme presenting person. Her skin is a light purple color (mauve) and she has brown hair in a "French" pixie cut (a pixie cut that has been allowed to grow out a bit). We can't see in this image that her eyes are green.

She has horns that grow up and lean back (Imperial demon horns, or like stubby antelope horns) from her temples. She has lightly pointed ears and a slender tail with a spaded tip.

She is wearing a long sleeve mini that is mostly green with a purple skirt. It has gold trim. She has knee high, leather boots, also with gold trim. She also has a purple scarf wrapped around her neck like a cowl.

In this image, she is in a cavern, standing on a rocky outcropping. She is facing something to her right and is leaning back playing a lute in the style of a modern rock and roll guitarist. Above her, we can see wispy magical tendrils coming from the lute and coalescing into a mist-like bow, with a golden arrow nocked.

This image is part of a greater image that is not shared here.

“I don’t care what anyone says, I LOVE that movie”
An image of the DVD cover for the 1980 musical film "Xanadu," starring Gene Kelly, Olivia Newton-John, and Michael Beck.

The image shows Olivia Newton-John wearing a cream-colored, thigh-slit Bardot dress and matching knee-high roller-skate boots. Her blonde hair is shoulder length, styled in loose curls. She is casually skating from left to right, arms generally at her sides. Her right leg is angled behind her, pushing her forward. She is looking to her right, towards the viewer and is smiling.

She is surrounded by an aura and leaving a rainbow trail and sparkles behind her. In the background we see the front of an abandoned art-deco building. The sky is blue with fluffy clouds.

At the top, the title Xanadu is printed in all caps using a stylized, metallic-purple font with sharp angles.

WTF r u doing,Meta AI?!! No one asked for this. I didn't ask for this. In fact, fkn stop. CONTEXT: I opened FB yesterday and saw a story post by "Meta AI" that made me double take. Yeah, Meta AI took the alternate cover for CCC iss #2 and proposed a highly sus AI version of it. STOP IT. #NoAI
A screen grab of my Android device after opening the Facebook app.

Along the top is the identifying trademark "facebook" along with several standard navigation icons. The "home" icon is highlighted blue, indicating this is the main feed for my facebook account.

Directly beneath the row of icons is a space for me to start a new post, with (from left to right) my avatar image (an illustrated, green version of my face with the "Coddlesworth's Clockwork Circus" gear icon burned into my forehead), a text box with the prompt "What's on your mind?", and a green photograph icon in case I want to add an image.

Under that is a horizontal "Stories" feed with "thumbnails" of stories suggested by the algorithm. The first one is from "Meta AI" and is an image that is more detailed in the other image attached to this skeet.

The others are (from left to right) a clip from the Dropout TV show "Game Changer" with the actor Grant O'Brien prominently displayed, an illustration of a blue, feminine character with a tail from a redacted artist, and a repost of a story that appears to feature the late R&B singer Aaliyah from a redacted user.

Beneath these is a facebook post from Monte Cook Games asking "Which Cypher will be your favorite.. See more" over an image of several books from the Cypher TTRPG. Above the post, facebook explains they are showing me the post because a redacted friend follows Monte Cook Games.A screen grab of the post that came up after electing to view the Meta AI story from the previous image in this skeet. This screengrab shows how Meta AI used an illustration from one of my previous facebook posts to create an AI version. In the process it makes some... dubious... changes.

Along the top is a horizontal bar representing the amount of time the story will be shown before moving to the next story, currently halfway filled. Beneath that is the "user" of the story, Meta AI, on the left and on the right, the three dots icon indicating "settings."

Beneath that is the text, "Make it a cartoon with Meta AI."

Two images appear beneath that, in a layout intended to mimic documents placed at angles on a flat surface.

The first image is positioned to the left and higher than the second image. It is angled approx. 10 degrees counterclockwise and labeled "Original."

This image of the alternate cover for "Coddlesworth's Clockwork Circus" issue #2, illustrated by Mexican artist Daniel Pinal. It features the character Imari in a hooded blue cloak framed by palm trees. She is oblivious to a menacing, clockwork automaton leaping into the air behind and towards her. The automaton is sculpted to appear as an ape. It has glowing red eyes and steam is escaping from it's ears.

The second image on the right and positioned lower is angled approx. 10 degrees clockwise. It is labeled "Cartoon."

This image shows a blonde woman in a hooded cloak also framed by palm trees. However, instead of an ape-like automaton leaping in the air behind her, it is of a shirtless, muscular brown man wearing a teal skullcap.

Beneath the images are two button prompts, one to "Create Story" (presumably to share this publicly) and one to "Change Photo" (presumably to try the process again with a different image in my account.

Finally, at the bottom it a lock icon followed by "Only visible to you until you post it. Memories settings." Memories settings is in bold.

"Victims. Aren't we all?" I mean, there's a few from Brandon Lee's (RIP) "The Crow." • "I see you've made your decision. Now let's see you enforce it." • "Take your shot, Funboy. You got me dead bang." • "Is that gasoline I smell?" and the exceedingly simple: "You're all going to die." #TheCrow
A GIF of a scene from the 1994 action movie and vengeance fantasy, "The Crow," a film about a man who returns to life as a revenant one year after he and his girlfriend Shelly were brutally assaulted and killed by criminal enforcers trying to clear an apartment building of its tenants.

In the scene, Eric Draven (played by Brandon Lee in his final film roll due to his tragic accidental death while filming) confronts and defeats the first of four the four enforcers, a knife fighting expert with the street name "Tin Tin."

In the scene, Tin Tin believes Eric is just a drug addled man he can easily MDK. He eagerly takes the fight and maintains his good cheer until Eric manages to get the upper hand.

As Eric begins to monologue to Tin Tin, to remind him of what he did to Eric and Shelly, Tin Tin hits Eric and shoves him off. Frustrated, he finally draws two knives, boasting that he never misses before throwing one.

Eric dodges the knife and then deflects the second one, taunting Tin Tin to "Try again, try harder!" With a scream, Tin Tin draws and throws a third knife. Eric catches the flat of the blade between his hands, then throws it back at Tin Tin, hitting him in the shoulder.

Before Tin Tin can react, Eric rushes up to him. This is the point where the GIF starts.

We see Tin Tin, a Black man, leaning against a stack of wooden pallettes and generally facing to the right. He has a knife buried in his right shoulder and a pained expression.

Suddenly, Eric appears, coming in from the right side, facing left. He is a mixed-race Asian/white male with shoulder length hair. His face is painted like a harlequin, with only black and white makeup. He has a formfitting, long sleeve shirt on and his lower forearms and hands are bare.

He pins Tin Tin's collarbone with his left hand.

"Victims," he says, drawing one of Tin Tin's knives with his right hand and holding it overhead, blade angled downward. "Aren't we all."

He plunges the blade downward and the scene cuts away.

It's just... I don't... but how... why... people... I... Wut?! This is what we're working with, folks. #cyberpunk
An anonymous post implying through rhetorical questioning that the fictional setting of Night City from the "Cyberpunk" TTRPG and Video Game is somehow a utopia.

Featured is a screen grab from the Netflix series "Edgerunners," a show also set in Night City with tie-ins to the video game.

In the image we see a popular character, Rebecca, holding up a cup as if offering it to an unseen person or as a toast. Rebecca is short, with pale, blue-tinged skin laced with wiring. Her hair is a few shades bluer as her skin, like frost. Her eyes are obviously synthetic, with large pink/fuschia pupils, neon green iris, and red sclerosis. She is wearing a blue jacket with a popped collar and matching hair accessory.

Under the image are several bullet points in green font:

• game is supposed to be "dystopian"
• your average 3rd world gangbanger has access to better & faster healthcare than anyone who's currently alive
•your average 3rd world method junkie has better education and technical prowess than most modern engineers
• aging? Solved, even if you are a 3rd world gangbanger
• illness? No such thing
• right to bear arms? Yep!

Then under the bullet points, in black font is the following:

"Explain to me how CP77 isn't a utopia without using phrases like "corporations are le bad!""

The post showcases how the author missed crucial elements of the plot and themes of the show as well as displaying a debilitating lack of critical thought and even basic media literacy.

Probably why they posted it anonymously.

Last night's highlight from #EatTheReich: Rushing into a church defiled with knot-c iconography, Flint rips a pew from the floor and overhead slams it into a squad of jackbooters, then grabs one and hurls him through a stained glass window, flying out after him. In 1 roll. #TTRPG #TTRPGCommunity
A "headshot" portrait of the character "Flint" from the TTRPG "Eat the Reich." Flint is 1 of 6 pre-made characters available for players to choose. Flint is differentiated from the other characters by his inhuman appearance and his stats and mechanics reflect a more bestial vampire than his fellow vampire commandos.

In the image, flint is hanging upside down. A necklace with a large plate-sized "pendant" bears his name and hangs upside down under his head, along with his dogtags.

His head is a bat's head, with large ears that have been ripped and torn. He has oversized teeth, not only extended fangs but also a pair of large, tusk-like lower teeth. His furry body is framed by large, leathery wings that are folded close to the body.

He is wearing a yellow bandana is holdng a large document close to his chest, which has several "bomb" stamps on it.

The background seems to be of a cave. In the foreground, on the ground itself, is various knot-c paraphenalia, the implication that it is the equipment of Flint's victims. We can clearly see a large knife with an eagle-headed handle on the lower left side of the image and a knot-c officers cap on the lower right side of the image.
