Harlequin d'autunno
Photo of an oak leaf flanked by two large crow feathers, on a plain background. The leaf has a harlequin look: green on one side of the main stem, yellow and brown on the other side (plus yellow and brown at the tip).

PullIng down the statue of King George III at Bowling Green, NY., July 7, 1776 (as imagined by painter William Walcutt in 1857).
Golden statue of a King astride a prancing horse, being dislodged by ropes and levers from a pediment; on the point of falling. Surrounded by enthusiastic people of all ages and conditions, including a brawny man in shirtsleeves, waving a hammer; a well-dressed woman with two children; a Black and a white man running excitedly; and an older man shouting from his perch on an upended box. On the far side of the pediment a bigger part of crowd can be partly seen, behind some railings. Sky bright and a little bit misty.

"No one's even asked to interview us about what we've been through."
Three costumed "furries" pose cutely outdoors in front of an exhibition hall. The one in the front looks canine; blue, gray and white, it shows open paws and a friendly head tilt. Peeking out from behind it are a feline type, blue, black and white; and what looks like a red fox. They all have wide, cartoon- like eyes. Attribution: Hopesa via Wikimedia Commons.

My home "altar" (in part) ;)
Table backed by an oil painting of a lotus, holding a clear glass psperweight full of small bubbles; a framed print of Leonardo's (imputed) "Light of the World"; ditto Piero di Cosimo's very effiminate John the Evangelist, with a snake emerging from a goblet; an open dollhouse door; a finely sculptured reclining Buddha; a cruder ceramic of Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree; a small image of Our Lady of Guadaloupe; a blown-glass egg; three silver pendants; a twinned pyrite crystal; some small carnelian beads; a small sculptured lizard; and a box with a black-and-white patterned lid.

Studied ambiguity, failure to push back on the quesion.... I can't help thinking AGAIN of Bill Clinton's "Sister Souljah moment." Which consultants probably think was a winner for him. Instead, it's a new round of "trans controversy" & "Dems in disarray." Obvious, I guess; still processing. :/

Post something random or you'll have an awful September [like this]
Medieval "hellmouth" (from a manuscript). Several unhappy-looking mostly naked people sit in a flame-surrounded cauldron, within the mouth of a giant wolflike head. Two of them wear bishops' mitres. A horned, bird-footed demon rolls up with several more peoole in a wheelbarrow, while a second demon carries another naked person over his shoulder. More demons fly around.

Not much experience in or around legislatures, have had you? Leadup to voting is very expensive in time & energy; and the validity of such an action under Rule 9 could end up before the Supreme Court. That said, I wish some of our reps would be more outspoken about the constant offenses.

Some interpretation of Narasimha might work. There are various styles of depiction. This one is especially spiky. ;)
A form of Vishnu, "Narasimha is...a fierce protector who destroys evil and safeguards his devotees. He is most widely known for protecting his devotee Prahlada and for slaying the tyrannical demon king Hiranyakashipu." --Wikipedia

Here he has a toothy, monkey-like face, a grinz and a tall crown,l in shape between a bell and a wedding-cake. Of his 16 arms, 12 hold weapons and other objects. He has the demon trapped across his knee, while the loyal devotee looks up at him from the side.

Below is earlier in the same convo. All it shows for absolute certain is that they had the same attorney representing them in two different cases in the same period, a potential scheduling issue, but it does suggest Epstein may have been interested in the actual outcome of Cafaro's case.

Epstein expressed satisfaction that the case was dismissed. Whether that was because Epstein needed the attorney back in NY to deal with a case of his own, or whether there was any further connection isn't clear.

Series of emails in the Epstein files indicates Epstein took some at least tangential personal interest in a 2011 Ohio legal case titled State v Cafaro.
