Amazing graph there! Agreed, would love to see more people doing this, think it can be a great process for healthy individuation and reflection

This approach can handle URLs via Obsidian web clipper -> Obsidian bases. Also working on a semantic graph plugin for bookmarks. PDFs I haven't done yet, would need to explore some kind of OCR pipeline, perhaps also via Obsidian plugin

I've done this for a couple small orgs, but in a somewhat opinionated/specialized way (local-first, "file over app", compatible with self-hosted apps/models, etc), using Obsidian, quartz, git, etc. Happy to share more if you're curious! www.ssc.studio/services/Sec...

I also have a janky 'depth of field' FX filter, but it doesn't quite work yet. Hoping to have more of a photorealism FX filter bundle, with shadows and depth of field. Could also even add wind-like motion

clinamenic @clinamenic.com · 28/07/2026
I have some 'turntable' auto-motion on, plus manual drag to pan and zoom, but its pretty choppy sometimes, and it hardly even works at the level of specimen complexity seen in the first message (works better for smaller ones like these below)

Yeah I use Quartz as a static site builder, so I can write/edit web pages directly in Obsidian. I primarily host my writing on my site, but also use Substack for discoverability and $, Arweave for archiving, and I used Postiz on my home server to stage annual Bluesky posts for all my writings.

@clinamenic.com uses obsidian as life OS. It runs everything from his journal, finances and website, to an extensive zettlekasten, all interlinked, with a patchwork of custom plugins that keep the system running smoothly. there will be many things to learn and discover here.

I usually try to help people focus on a couple core features/workflows, and I let them know that the schematic/frontmatter stuff doesn't need to be figured out up front, i.e. that they can focus on the 'thing' and don't have to worry about the 'meta thing' right away.
