In my younger years, I remember getting into a fist fight playing hockey. This one giant polish guy on the other team who is nicknamed tank. Hit me with such veracity that my head snapped back like a pez dispenser. I woke up to him saying are you okay? I thought I killed you man. He cared about me.

Trying for women way out of my league. As a math guy I knew one of them would say yes. What I found out is guys would never ask them out. Too intimidating, too much work, other guys hitting on them. In the 1990s when I was single and someone would stay over. I'd make breakfast, French toast, bacon, coffee I'd have an unwrapped tooth brush. I found out I was boyfriend material, I thought it was just being nice. Nope I raised the bar and didn't even know it.

I'm at the Mayo clinic right now. This man was sitting next to me. He is elderly, he said to me, I don't think I'm going to stick around after my wife dies. Married since they were 18. He is 87. I said, I would do the same thing too don't give it a second thought. He squeezed my hand and left.

Okay I'm going to be completely honest. I really did like the discovery of witches. And yes, it was a very slow burn to get to the conclusion and there was a lot of nuance to it. But I really did like it. And that isn't me at all because you know aliens and laser swords.

What is very concerning to me is that people no longer actually read books. Not tablet, but actual books. Now AI is buying old antique and rare books destroying them by scanning them. They are trying to control the information.

I saw a video of Ray Stevenson from Ahsoka that finished his story using AI. It was beyond good and it was a good story. Then I felt sad I'd never see Ray again the heart attack took him far too soon. He was wonderful in HBO Rome.
