People complaining bout dogs sniffing for food 24/7. Buddy if we didn't have credit cards we'd be down there with 'em.

"Today we're proud to announce Hopelus 5, our latest model. It uses 2.4x more tokens than Hopelus 4.8 making it our most unprofitable model to date."

I am being held in SHU, the highest level of security which exists. No commissary. No visits. No contact with the outside world. My neighbour is a rapist and paedophile who cries about woke ALL day long and masturbates incessantly.

So true! I tried, I wrote a coding style file but it only ever does it some times. I will say discussing my coding philosophy with Claude was interesting, it was super sassy and picked me apart. Also. The comments, aahhh, stop adding 8 lines of comments to a variable.

Well said! I've been testing LLMs for coding lately and even with the latest and greatest it has so little imagination and skill. Going 100% hand coded feels faster and brings me so much more joy.

I really enjoyed this article, it captures how I've been feeling lately. And getting AI output pasted as a reply really feels like LMGTFY.

Couldn't agree more! Why doesn't my device have a repair manual? A place where I can buy spare parts for it? A public repo for the software so I can help improve it? Why did they give my toaster an app? That will go offline in 2 years?

I love the idea of having a simple appliance brand that is built to live forever, endlessly standardized, open source and hackable! Ideally too all of the appliances would share as many parts as possible, so you can pull apart your WEBB Washer to fix your WEBB-crowave.

But I don't want you to match Github, it's shit. I want you to match the uptime of statically served html page that says "Welcome".

This reminds me when I had the question. "Surely you could stuff spent nuclear rods in a lead box and it'd just generate loads of heat you could use to power stuff?". And it turns out, yeah, ya can and we do, in satellites and very remote lighthouses and stuff. I love this little arc :)

If someone told me they were part of a secret government project and that; - Owl City is the first attempt at AI music - It took a computer the size of a building - 3 people died and 4 will never get their memories back - The lyrics are secret code phrases I'd already be half on board.

I code for a living, so I've given AI a go to see what it is, and what it can do. I found it's nice as an extended auto-complete. But this video was so poignant and it really touched my heart. Thank you so much for your content Freya, I've ended my Copilot subscription in support 🙂.
