Rock @rjrock.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Wildflowers Tre Cime with the clouds moving through, and a patch of pink flowers growing right out of the rock beside the trail. Hard to beat a spot like this. #EastCoastKin #Photography #Fuji #PhotographersofBlueSky #PhotographersUnited #LandscapePhotography

Color photograph in portrait orientation of a rocky alpine trail below a tall limestone tower. On the left, the tower rises almost to the top of the frame, its vertical face banded in tan and ochre with dark streaks, and thin fog clinging to its lower left edge. Behind and to its right, a second tower is half dissolved in cloud. The sky is blue-gray with soft, streaked white clouds, a small patch of blue at upper right, and a bright warm glow just left of center. A gravel path climbs along the left side toward the tower’s base. In the middle ground on the right, a stack of pale gray boulders with orange lichen patches juts out against the sky. In the foreground, a cushion of green plants and tufts of dry golden grass covers a rock ledge, dotted with small magenta-pink flowers, most densely clustered in the lower center.

The vertical format stacks the scene in layers: flowers, boulders, tower, sky. A low, wide viewpoint makes the tower loom over the small plants, and the path on the left leads the eye from the bottom corner up to its base. The warm ochre rock against cool blue-gray sky sets up a complementary contrast, and the pink flowers add a small, saturated accent that draws the eye first. The blurred, streaked clouds against sharp rock suggest time passing over a fixed landscape. The tension is between the delicacy of the flowers and the monumental scale of the rock behind them.
