Conventional geothermal could be a much bigger resource than we’ve realized, with the potential to provide an enormous amount of power. It provides firm, carbon-free power, with natural permeability making it cheaper to produce and modern drilling helping unlock more of it. @volts.wtf

The tragedy unfolding in Spokane is a reminder that wildfire resilience requires more than emergency response. As fire-enabling conditions become more common, WA policymakers must continue investing in mitigation and preparedness to reduce the risk of future catastrophic events.

States across the country are making it easier to build clean energy. New findings from @canarymedia.com show more legislatures are advancing renewables than blocking them. WA has the opportunity to do the same with faster permitting, siting, and interconnection. www.canarymedia.com/articles/cle...
Graphic with title text centered to top of page: “More States Are Streamlining Clean Energy Development.” Text below title: “More state legislatures are advancing renewable development than restricting it. In 2026, just 1 of 86 restrictive bills became law, while OR, VA, and IL advanced permitting reforms. Map below titled: “Anticipated Deployment Impact of Enacted Bills.” Colors on the map representing: deep red = very restrictive; light red = somewhat restrictive; white = neutral; light purple = somewhat permissive; dark purple = very permissive.
