@futurebird stamps for kids are probably nontoxic and water based. 1. Got old, mostly dried out washable markers? Put them in a little water, and let the rest of that ink soak out 2. No markers of the right color? Mix food coloring with a little water. 3. Apply your DIY ink to pad with a dropper

This multifunctional racing wheel has integrated keyboard and gamepad for all your PC gaming needs
For PC gamers having the right set of peripherals goes a long way in giving them strategic advantage. Be it a gaming keyboard, mouse, gamepad, or steering wheel with pedal inputs – different genres of games demand a varied setup. Take for example racing games that are best played with a steering wheel setup, Battle Royales that need the precise input of a mouse and keyboard, and strategic Multiplayer titles that require a hybrid input of a joystick gamepad. Eventually, a serious gamer will end up buying the best of all these accessories that’ll take up space on their desk or cabinet. So, how about a multifunctional gaming controller that integrates a keyboard, gamepad and steering wheel into one? A smart peripheral that can be customized depending on the specific needs of the user. Designer: Thulir S S This concept design for the brand Logitech more than just caught my eye for the right reasons. Called the Logitech G360, the gaming peripheral is ultra-compact and solves the intended purpose. The highly versatile device is designed aesthetically to not take too much space while keeping the gaming function of each of them, or combined configuration in mind. On the steering wheel base, the gamepad and keyboard are configured to handle the car’s directional inputs, while the connected pedals register the speed, braking and clutch inputs. Simply mount it onto your desk and you’re ready for intense racing action. When you’re done playing a racing title, you can take out the gamepad from the housing and connect it to play an MMO. For playing real-time shooting titles you can employ the ultra-compact keyboard designed keeping in mind the required input keys for such games. Each of these devices has their independent Bluetooth connectivity hardware, so you don’t have to worry about latency or connection issues. To add a bit of flair to the whole setup, Thulir imagines the gaming peripheral in sporty Fourmula-1 themes of Red Bull Racing in blue, McLaren in orange and Ferrari in red. I was taken aback by the level of thought put into the design of this concept Logitech gaming accessory. The idea is smart and PC gamers already be licking their fingers. if you really *must* play Fortnite on Linux, here's how to bypass Epic's EAC2 rootkit codon.org.uk/~mjg59/blog/p/epics-ea…
codon.org.uk
Matthew Garrett: Epic's EAC2 v2 seems fairly easily bypassable
Epic just announced the upcoming version 2 of their Linux implementation of Easy Anti-Cheat. It’s based on using the Linux eBPF security module to monitor what’s happening, and then a bunch of extra infrastructure to make sure this can’t be bypassed. The core part of this is requiring secure boot be enabled (ensuring that modified kernels can’t be used), using measured boot to verify that secure boot is enabled and which keys are used (to prevent you from just signing your own modified kernel), and then doing remote attestation, a mechanism where the TPM generates a signed copy of the boot measurements and passes that off to a server which verifies it came from a real TPM, verifies that you have secure boot enabled and are using the right keys, and presumably then allows you into the game. This is all fine as long as you can prove that the measurements provided are real, and that’s actually a lot harder than you might think. First, we can simply make up our own quote signed with our own key and say that it came from a TPM. This is avoided by every TPM having an Endorsement Key (or EK) and an associated certificate, with that certificate being signed by the TPM vendor. If you have a list of all the legitimate TPM vendors and their CA keys, you can verify that the measurements came from a real TPM. Easy enough. So we need to get the measurements from a real TPM, and the one on our motherboard contains the measurements that were generated by the firmware and bootloader, and we can’t reset those at runtime without resetting the TPM, which… oh huh there’s actually nothing stopping us from doing that at runtime, as long as we have access to the hardware. Many desktop boards have the TPM on a small plugin module with a standard pinout that includes a reset pin. Simply short that to ground briefly and the TPM is back in its initial state, and userland can write whatever measurements it wants to it. Boot a modified kernel which lies to the eBPF code? As long as you replay the expected log values from a boot with secure boot on and a trusted kernel, the TPM will still happily provide a legitimate set of measurements that’ll satisfy the checker. What if the TPM is less accessible, either because it’s mounted directly to the motherboard or it’s inside the CPU or chipset? That’s going to be trickier. But here’s the thing. The quote needs to come from _a_ TPM, but not necessarily the TPM on your motherboard. TPMs these days are usually connected via the Serial Peripheral Interface, usually referred to as SPI. Microchip make a USB to SPI bridge, and there’s a Linux driver. Wire one of those up with an appropriate header and you can plug in an easily available TPM module intended for plugging into a motherboard, and now we tell the kernel to ignore the motherboard TPM and make /dev/tpmrm0 point at the USB one and program it with a set of trusted measurements and once again everything is going to look just fine (yes obviously the eBPF code can look for this, but we’re running a modified kernel so we can just lie to the eBPF code). Remote attestation on PCs just doesn’t work that well in environments where you can’t associate a specific TPM with a specific system, which is basically everywhere except enterprises. But maybe that doesn’t matter and cheaters wouldn’t be willing to spend the $20 or so it’d take to produce one of these things? That would seem somewhat surprising, but it’s not impossible. And obviously any server-side cheat detection that triggers could then block that specific TPM, meaning they’d need to go and get another TPM, and maybe that ends up being enough to discourage people from bothering. From a practical level, this may be sufficient. But at a technical level? It’s not great.

I argued that that lawsuit by 9 FBI Agents fired bc they worked on the stolen documents case has an impeachment referral stuck in the middle of it. emptywheel.net/2026/10/16/t...
The outline of the lawsuit 9 FBI agents filed against Kash Patel yesterday. I've pointed to these sections claiming they are an impeachment referral.

C. While Still a Private Citizen, Defendant Patel Injected Himself into Plasmic Echo: This section describes Kash’s public blabbing in 2022, his subpoena to testify (served by Linton), his immunized testimony, a subpoena investigators obtained for Kash’s communications around the same time, his partying at the Olympics, and his attempt to use the subpoena as an excuse to fire the plaintiffs to distract from his partying.
As part of this section, it describes Kash’s claims to Congress on March 19 and September 15 about why he fired the plaintiffs, and then describes the public evidence those claims are false.
E. Plaintiffs Are Summarily Terminated: Having already described how Kash lied about why he fired plaintiffs (and provided some of the proof that he did lie), the complaint then describes how each plaintiff was terminated, naming the FBI managers who affirmatively told plaintiffs they were not being fired for cause, explaining to anyone who might want to know how to find proof that Kash lied to Congress.
Along with individualized descriptions of how each plaintiff was terminated (which is necessary for the lawsuit), this section also describes how, the day after Kash’s debauchery in Italy, the corrupt FBI Agent who spied on Jim Comey’s Attorney-Client communications, Miles Starr, took steps to find out who was on the stolen documents case. This is necessary to substantiate the claim that Kash fired plaintiffs because of his own embarrassment, but it important for other reasons.

@emptywheel.bsky.social AI needs $6 trillion per year to pay for the data centers in order. Liability insurance may be low on priorities. www.networkworld.com/article/422999…
networkworld.com
$6T in annual AI revenue needed to pay off data center investments
Hyperscalers are rushing to build more data centers to run AI workloads — but will the AI industry ever generate enough revenue to pay for that infrastructure? Researchers at Bain and Company have looked into this and concluded that productivity gains from existing AI services are not enough to justify the money being pumped in: AI companies and the hyperscalers that power them will need to create brand new markets for their services. Bain said the “arms race” among hyperscalers is accelerating to the extent that their capital expenditures could reach $780 billion in 2026, a fivefold increase in three years. And, it estimates, annual spending on AI infrastructure could reach $1.5 trillion by 2031. Making the assumption that hyperscalers’ capital expenditure amounts to about 25% of revenue, they would need the AI market to be worth $6 trillion annually. But, said Bain, the current consumer and enterprise AI markets together could be worth up to $1.8 trillion by 2031, leaving a whopping $4.2 trillion still to find from new markets. Bain highlighted four potential areas: the use of AI in search; the development of more autonomous vehicles, including drones; physical AI, including digital twins and robotics; and new product development, for example, breakthroughs in pharmaceuticals.
