Lucked out with the weather last night for the Jeff Show. Great time. I was extremely hyped up for the closing song, a cover of Ging Nang Boys' "I Don't Wanna Die" youtu.be/gWKTiLpdJf4
Live concert at dusk on Pier 17 in Manhattan. The Brooklyn Bridge is lit up in the background.

5 digit steam accounts should be able to cut the line. Bonus $49.99 discount if you pre-ordered the original Steam Controller.
You are on the waitlist for Steam Frame 1TB Kit
When we did the one-time randomization of the list, your place in line ended up beyond the number of Steam Frames currently available for reservation.
As we work our way through the reservation queue, some customers may cancel their reservations. If that happens, you may be moved into the reservation queue, and you'll be notified via email that you have a reservation after all.

cool... stumbled upon a vibe-coded "guide" website for a game I've been playing and enjoying. really high-quality information here, great work. makes me miss fandom wikis.
FAQ

Does Blood Dungeon have codes?

No. It is a single-player premium game with no redemption system. Any site listing "Blood Dungeon codes" is either describing a different game — Iron Blood is the usual mix-up — or making them up.

It has a decent amount of surface rust, most of which I've removed with a razor blade. I'll likely continue with some wet sanding before scraping the flaking lacquer off the handle and refinishing it with boiled linseed oil and paste wax.
The saw blade removed from the handle. Much of the surface rust has been removed and there is more of a shine.

Disston D-23 Handsaw, circa 1940. A 26" long, 10 ppi crosscut saw. This saw was produced for decades before the company was sold and quality dropped. This particular saw is in decent condition - old enough to be interesting but not so old that I feel bad making it a user. #handtools #woodworking

this drove me nuts for what felt like years. I'm pretty sure I was disabling all of the bubble options from within the Messages app, but opening a message from a notification would ignore that setting. I think what fixed it was going from settings app to notifications and turning off bubbles there

The most annoying mistake was forgetting to cement one side of a coupling. this resulted in a fountain of water from the discharge pipe when I tested the pump. this also meant that I had to disassemble the fixture, which is a bit messy to do given the trapped water above the check valves.
The sump pump plumbing below the lid line. an arrow points to a coupling joint which has cement only on one side.

text near the arrow reads "you've got to cement both parts, dude"

an update, this went really well thanks to my propensity to meticulously plan for and account for potential obstacles. of course, this fixation also breeds a certain level of apprehension to start the task, which must also be overcome and pushed through.

I don't have much epoxy experience, so I didn't attempt repairing that panel yet, but I did do a test run with the epoxy on some smaller parts: some damage on the rear panel, a corner reinforcement strip that had split along its length, and the center reinforcement member in the speaker module box.
Two wood blocks wrapped in clear tape and a clamp apply pressure to the edge of the rear panel. Epoxy fills the damaged area (not visible). Two blue squeeze clamps and wood blocks wrapped in plastic tape apply pressure to a thin strip of particle board.A blue squeeze clamp and a screw clamp apply pressure to a center panel in the middle of the enclosure box. Some #Bemani #arcade gore for tonight. My Jubeat cabinet sustained some sort of damage before it came into my possession. I think somebody tried to lift the cabinet from its speaker enclosure and severely damaged the particle board under the weight of the machine. (second photo mine)

I love parts-express because you can still find all sorts of wacky shit like these 90s-ass desktop PC speakers. You can even power them by C-cell batteries.
Listing for stereo speakers on parts-express.com. The product photo is of the boxed product with all the classic 90s era design elements: abstract background, boxes of solid color behind text, multiple typefaces, and no shortage of iconography and symbols.Another product photo showing the rear of the speakers with battery covers removed to illustrate that they can be powered by battery or by a DC adapter.

I also looked into why it we couldn'tcomplete one of the scoring mechanics: 'picking up' Gorbachev. When the ball is shot up his ramp, it hits a switch that then triggers a solenoid to open a one-way gate. I learned our gate wasn't opening! The solenoid works but the gate stays closed. This is why.
Marked-up photograph of the top portion of the Taxi playfield. A green arrow loops around one the ramps, indicating the location of a gate that opens to allow the ball to complete the path to the scoring target.

FINALLY took care of a long-backlogged #pinball maintenance task! Our Taxi frequently trips our circuit breaker when powered-on due to high inrush current. Later Williams games shipped with a negative temperature coefficient thermistor to handle this, but Taxi doesn't have one. Details in alt-text.

Each of the leads of the thermistor are inserted directly into one of two Wago connectors. The orange wire that previously connected the fuse holder and the RFI filter has been severed, its ends are now inserted into the other terminals of the Wago connectors to complete the splice.

Thu and Fri are the final 2 days of my class, but before I go back I want to restore this antique router plane that I picked up in a lot last week. This is a Stanley No. 71 and I believe it dates to 1896-1901. I want a usable tool that preserves the patina on non-work surfaces. 2 before / 2 after:

puckered up for this stage. several hours of work went into shaping these legs but you eventually have to get around to chopping off the profile of the slipper foot with the chisel. don't get too greedy or the grain can betray you and tear out into the leg.
