Excited to kick off a new collaboration with Chiara Cappellaro and Maria Ktori from Oxford @ox.ac.uk ! Over the coming months, we’ll be working on an EEG project exploring the neural representations of morphemes and how the brain processes meaningful building blocks of language.

Do humans establish common knowledge from identical inputs? This study shows that even based on identical local evidence, human #brains construct stable, self-consistent, yet highly individual global rankings, highlighting the constructive nature of human cognition @plosbiology.org 🧪 plos.io/3OEe5FG
Individualized construction from identical input. Despite identical few-shot input (center polygon), individuals construct distinct and internally consistent global representations (surrounding items), reflecting idiosyncratic construction. Designed by Huan Luo and Dongning Liu

🔚 #StatLearn2026 comes to an end. Researchers from all over the world have discussed #statisticallearning and its underlying mechanisms from behaviour to neuroscience, across various domains. It has been a pleasure to organize a new edition of this event. 🤩

What a fantastic first day at #IASL in #SanSebastián! So many inspiring talks and posters. A particular highlight was @jennysaffran.bsky.social keynote reflecting on 30 years of research since her groundbreaking 1996 paper, inspiring us to think about what we know (and don’t) in #StatisticalLearning

Hey @psychonomicsociety.bsky.social peeps! Unfortunately, I couldn’t join you in NYC this round, but make sure you go see my wonderful student @claudiaruzza.bsky.social — Saturday 10.40am (paper 212). She’ll talk about category formation based on frequency. EEG+behaviour, lots of fun!
