31 Days Of Halloween! 9. The Night Visitor (1971) Max Von Sydow plays a prisoner capable of escaping his cell to commit murder. More of a thriller (since you know he’s the murderer), but the real question being asked is…what’s the motive? Not great, but worth a watch (despite its many plot holes).

Album a Day in 2026 with @classichexagon.bsky.social Yes - Tormato Released in 1980 #RockSolidAlbumADay2026 #TheYesAlbums 281/365 I enjoy this one a lot. Don’t Kill The Whale and Release, Release are rockers. Onward is a sweet lullaby. Album cover is weird tho. Should’ve called it Tomato Crotch.

31 Days Of Halloween! 8. God Told Me To (1976) Disturbing supernatural horror thriller from Larry Cohen (It’s Alive). Be warned - this one’s messed up.

31 Days Of Halloween! 7. Asylum (1972) Horror anthology showcasing 4 patients’ stories of “terror”. It’s OK, but (not unlike any other horror anthology movie) it could’ve been better.

31 Days Of Halloween! 6. Scream Of Fear (1961) Amazing early Hammer horror-thriller with an excellent performance from the underrated Susan Strasberg. This is a must-see!

Album a Day in 2026 with @classichexagon.bsky.social Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans Released in 1973 #RockSolidAlbumADay2026 #TheYesAlbums 279/365 The music/production is excellent from top to bottom, but had to listen to it 3 times just to interpret the lyrics. Highfalutin and yet…it’s prog!

31 Days Of Halloween! 5. Horror Express Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing go up against an ancient fossil that comes to life as a creepy cross between the mummy and the wolf man. Telly Savalas shows up for the third act. Cheesy plot, but gory and fun.

Album a Day in 2026 with @classichexagon.bsky.social Yes - Time And A Word Released in 1970 #RockSolidAlbumADay2026 #TheYesAlbums 275/365 Astral Traveller is OK, but other tracks are spotty. The orchestra is good, but unnecessary. The middle drags. Not terrible but a sophomore slump for me.

31 Days Of Halloween! 1. Night Creatures AKA Captain Clegg (1962) A majority is going to be classic horror from the 60s and 70s. Maybe I’ll throw in some newer ones along the way. Monsters aplenty! 🧟‍♂️🧛🏻‍♂️🧌👺

MOVIES I MISSED ‘75-‘25 Handpicking the biggest box office flicks of the last 50 years, that I’ve never seen. 33. American Gangster At the time this came out, I had “mob movie fatigue”. Honestly, I still kinda do. This one’s OK, but I’ll add it would surprisingly pair well with Catch Me If You Can.
