31 Days Of Hallloween! 3. The Pit And The Pendulum (1961) Much better than yesterday’s drippy blood house movie. I’ve always enjoyed this one. AIP put out some great stuff.

31 Days Of Halloween! 2. The House That Dripped Blood Spoiler alert! There’s no house dripping blood in this movie. In fact, there’s no blood at all! False advertising!

Album a Day in 2026 with @classichexagon.bsky.social Yes - Time And A Word Released in 1970 #RockSolidAlbumADay2026 #TheYesAlbums 275/365 Astral Traveller is OK, but other tracks are spotty. The orchestra is good, but unnecessary. The middle drags. Not terrible but a sophomore slump for me.

31 Days Of Halloween! 1. Night Creatures AKA Captain Clegg (1962) A majority is going to be classic horror from the 60s and 70s. Maybe I’ll throw in some newer ones along the way. Monsters aplenty! 🧟‍♂️🧛🏻‍♂️🧌👺

Album a Day in 2026 with @classichexagon.bsky.social Yes - Yes Released in 1969 #RockSolidAlbumADay2026 #TheYesAlbums 274/365 Musically, it’s all over the place. Jazzy, folky, and proggy rock n roll. Still, it’s a pretty solid debut. It only gets better from here!

Doing a deep dive on all these albums. I don’t have them all, but I have most of them. Many I’ve never heard before. For the next two days, I’ll be a yes man. P.S. Sorry about the cover order in the photo. I’ll do better.

MOVIES I MISSED ‘75-‘25 Handpicking the biggest box office flicks of the last 50 years, that I’ve never seen. 33. American Gangster At the time this came out, I had “mob movie fatigue”. Honestly, I still kinda do. This one’s OK, but I’ll add it would surprisingly pair well with Catch Me If You Can.

Sophia asked me to take her to see Buddy. Wacky, bloody horror frenzy with “adult swim humor” sprinkled in. We enjoyed it. Am I a bad influence or the coolest dad ever? Why can’t I be both?
