spent the morning with Glorimar Marrero Sánchez’s La Pecera (The Fishbowl). Deeply moved by the articulation of both an individual’s battle with cancer & community-wide sickness imparted by colonialism & how the two are entwined to create something larger & all-encompassing.

given how hot a topic The Odyssey is right now, you’d think Uberto Pasolini’s The Return would be getting its moment in the spotlight after a quieter release a few weeks ago. it covers the last section of The Odyssey with an assured hand. I was quite taken with it by the end.
