Look I give fanfic A LOT of grace cause 1 it’s free and 2 it’s free. However, I just read a fic where a 9yo was referred to as a “toddler” and who “threw their arms around their moms leg” to hug her and either they changed his age and missed these references or someone has never seen a 9yo before 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

My daughter (9) was helping me decorate the Christmas tree but halfway thru her friend asked to play so she ditched me. My son (13) ditched us before we started for friends. I’m feeling a little sorry for myself while I finish. (My husband is here. Still being a sad sack)

A Christmas Story. I didn’t grow up with it so when I saw it at 17ish I didn’t connect with any of the characters. As I’ve grown and had kids of my own, I’ve realized the mom is absolutely my spirit animal and I was sleeping on a masterpiece.
