Before you say anything: I KNOW.
A screenshot of a Safari extension called "Tab Counter," listing the number of open tabs across six different browser windows. The first two windows are labeled "Start Page" with 249 and 32 tabs respectively, followed by "Window 3" with 56 tabs, "Window 4" with 402 tabs, "Window 5" with 515 tabs, and "Window 6" with 447 tabs. The final row shows a total of 1,701 tabs.

I hate cancer. So bloody much. We need to get rid of it. All forms of cancer. Wipe it from existence. The only thing that should become extinct is cancer. Not any animal. Not any bug (though I have a list of bugs that should go away). Not any form of life. Cancer.

Tapas is apparently shutting down and ugh... I had a feeling that, eventually, these web comic services would slowly die out. The AT Protocol could have taken this opportunity to bring people in, but we're too late: by the time we're ready, others would have locked people in.

I used the orange line in the TTC and… … the trains are no longer “snakes” like the ones at the yellow line. They’re back to the “attachment” style cars. Now I can’t walk from one end of the train to the other. Boooo! 😔

Still thinking about that time a moth got stuck in a cobweb and the spider failed to successfully wrap the web around said moth. Four. Damn. Times. You had ONE job. (Look at me: I'm angry at a spider. 🤣)

Okay: next week, I’m going to get ATCommonTools rebuilt. I need to separate the code from the “common” and “common-web” packages into more libraries: there’s literally no point in having unnecessary code being compiled with the rest of the package.

I'll be honest, I haven't done much in terms of working anything for the past few days. I had other projects for one thing, but also, I suppose I didn't really want to see much of the code from my primary projects for a while after dealing with everything.

I liked the new remark for Ocarina of Time. Yes, including the graphics style. I always expect the game to look better with your own eyes, rather than with the trailer or live stream. From what I’m seeing in the Japanese reactions, they’re eating it up for the most part, so Nintendo did their job.

I’m hoping to complete ATLexiconC by the end of October. I know I wanted to originally do it before fall begun, but I don’t think you understand how much it took to get OAuth to work on ATProtoKit. (And I’m *still* not done overall; it’s just enough for developers to get *something* out there.)

My Japanese learning experience… I’ve had to stall it for a while. … well, actually, I had to stall mostly *everything* because I was working so much about OAuth. That includes reading RFCs (even now, it’s so complicated).

I know that the current version of ATProtoKit mainly relies on the legacy OAuth stuff. That’s not my fault; I couldn’t really do much when everything is evolving so quickly. I hope to release a future update that will exchange it for the current and future versions of atproto OAuth.

I asked nono to do this as a FANBOX request. As per usual, nono did a great job! Jianxin doesn’t get a lot of artwork; she’s not that popular in Wuthering Waves. Which sucks; she’s my favourite Resonator by far. 😔 I’m just glad she’s getting some kind of attention today.

The great thing about Swift and Rust: they can give you guarantees in terms of memory safety and the like. The bad thing about Swift and Rust: they can't give you guarantees in terms of developers stupidity. (It's me: I'm the developer. 🙃)

I've finally started basic work on the Swift package for the PDS (which will now be called "ATPDSServer." That's three files converted and (*checks notes*) ~290 files left to go. 😵‍💫 (This will probably take well over a year.)

I’ll be releasing an update to ATLexiconTools some time this week. While it has a ton of changes and bug fixes, it’s mainly so that it can be in alignment with ATLexiconC (that is, as I’ve been working on the latter, I noticed inconsistencies with the former).

This Spaces project is pretty neat. However, there are a few concerns for me. Chief among them: How would we be able to make it where you can switch between making an account private and public? Or more specifically, *can* we make it where it’s toggleable?

I wonder what the benefits of typed throws would be. 🤔 Just typing "throws" would mean using "any Error," right? Because if so, then I'd much rather have that eliminated. But that's the good thing about a lexicon generator: you can mix and match to whatever you want, with a simple tag.

For the next update (0.35.0), I'm probably going to compile all of the OAuth-related declarations, tutorials, and articles into an API collection page. Because having a huge list of these things alongside the App Password and generic stuff will end up becoming a real mess.

Atproto Spaces, formerly known as “the permissioned data protocol,” is a new extension to atproto that enables non-public data. The alpha is now officially open. Here’s how to develop with it and what to expect as we work towards the full release.

Don't use headings to arbitrarily style text. If you apply “Heading 4” style, you add a <h4> heading tag to the item. When screen reader users navigate from heading to heading, the item will be treated as a heading. This will be confusing. Only treat actual headings as headings.

I’ve returned home since it’s now safe to do so. While I could release the update now, I’m tired and I’d like to be able to stay awake while I wait for any bug reports. So it will arrive on Wednesday as planned.

I've added a new issue template specifically for OAuth. I've made it because, as I've said before, this is a big deal for ATProtoKit. Because of this, I need to ensure I actually get the proper information. I've also added a tag in the Discussions section to ask questions related to OAuth.

I’ll have to delay version 0.34.0 to Thursday. (Hear me out: it’s not my fault this time!) My landlord has told me I’ll need to temporarily stay out of my living place tomorrow because they’re doing a whole bunch of things. I don’t want to detail them right now. This is… frustrating, but okay.

I'm happy to say that everything appears to be in order with respect to getting OAuth to work. The only thing I had to cut out was getting Apple Passwords to add the password to the text field. Other than that, this is happening in real-time. Hopefully you believe me with respect to this now.

Still going smoothly with the walkthrough article. I'm so upset at the amount of code developers need to write, however. Even though all of these packages are supposed to make everything easier, it still only amounts to... ~500 lines of code. That is unacceptable.

*sigh... this is taking a fairly long time to do (the walkthrough), so I'll have to delay this by a couple of days. I apologize for that. You *still* should be able to test it out now: it's in the develop branch. The only thing is figuring it out yourself, which I don't want people to need to do...
