Great. We're in a dementia doom loop.
In a university in Moscow in August, Putin sparked questions about his cognitive fitness with a tale he likes to tell about polar bears and orcas, claiming that killer whales hunt the bears in the wild.

“That’s the food chain,” he said. “Children should be taught about this, so that they understand what kind of world we live in and why we are conducting the special military operation”

It isn’t true. No such cases have been recorded, but it offers insight into Putin’s geopolitical mindset and how he may try to escape the bind he currently finds himself in.

Helmets aren't *entirely* useless.
From an article talking about Mamdani's video on cyclists wearing helmets in NYC.

"Helmets aren’t entirely useless, and they reduce the risk of head injury by up to 88 percent. People should wear them. Furnas pointed out that the gear is especially useful for electric mobility devices that can achieve much faster speeds. “In those types of crashes a head injury is a real risk,” he said. “The bottom line is it’s never a bad idea to pop on a helmet when you’re riding a bike.”

Wait they let this guy win without a majority and .5% margin over the next candidate?

I *think* it's gotten better (better than it was in the late 90s since I've been here). Looks like South Bronx is not too bad, except for Hunts Point The city targeted east Harlem first, but to Mamdani's credit Hunts Point is next.

It's weird that nobody noticed all the reporting about Natalie Harp and her late night Truth storms with Trump. I'm pretty sure that's what Ossoff was referencing. This WSJ article is an example (unlocked). There's no implication of an affair. www.wsj.com/politics/tru...
Google results prior to Ossoff's mention that describe her as the mastermind behind Trump's demented late night Truth storms.

Yikes.
Line chart of PC DRAM prices, 2022–2029. Prices fall from ~$3.60/GB to ~$1.70 by mid-2023, hover near $2.50 into 2025, then spike sharply to ~$11.50/GB by mid-2026; J.P. Morgan estimates show a plateau near $13–14/GB through 2029.

Here's the actual statue. I think it's because it's the rare 21st statue where a face really looks like a face. (and the bones of course)
