The Royal College of Physicians assembled 30 experts to review the latest evidence on #airpollution. They found effects from pre-birth to the end of life, from child lung development to dementia in old age - 30,000 deaths per year in UK an economic cost of £27 bn. Proud to have been a co-editor.

The London Air Quality Network is forecasting high levels of particulate pollution until the end of Thursday 20th March. Adults and children with lung problems and older people, should avoid strenuous physical activity. People with asthma may find they need to use their reliever more often.

The London Air Quality Network is forecasting high levels of particulates, due mainly to an air feed from the near continent and on light winds. This import coupled with poor dispersion of local emissions is fuelling this episode.
