Getting tired of untested vibecoded ports that are just buggy and because no experienced coders are around, they can't fix it? Never fear, as I have listed decomps and recomps done by actual people and it will continue expanding! If you know any, lemme know!

madoka drawing 3 madoka is about to have a bad time

madoka comic showing madoka and kyubey from madoka magica

madoka says: "hey kyubey, i'm playing metroid on my nintendo 3ds using the virtual console but i'm stuck. do you know any cheat codes that could help me out?"
kyubey says: "engage ripley mother fucker"

engage ripley mother fucker is an infamous metroid cheat code that usually crashes your game but prior to 2016 and only on the 3DS it would completely brick your console.

Game design meme for me and maybe three other people on this site.

Guy looking at random encounters: "Wow! RPGs are grindy!"
Text overhead: "Random encounters help ensure that the the play experiences combat at regular intervals instead of avoiding fights and ending up underpowered, increasing the risk of quitting entirely."

Many games for the GameCube use only a fraction of the storage capacity of the disc. I have analyzed the data to determine what the maximum number of retail Mario games that can fit on a single disc would be, creating the Luigi & Wario + Puzzle + Rhythm Maximum Value Pack.

$A GameCube disc has a storage capacity of 1.46 gigabytes. Many Mario games use only a fraction of that storage. Below is the optimal distribution of the smallest Mario-related games on the system to fit 6 entire retail games on a single disc. Unused space 54 MB Luigi's Mansion 186 MB DDR Mario Mix 264 MB Wario World 257 MB Donkey Konga 2 312 MB Donkey Konga 250 MB Please note that this pie chart is for data visualization only. If the games were in fact put on one disc, the data would be arranged in rings, not in slices. Concept for post based on an idea from a comment by @vinchvolt.bsky.social$

I'm not one of those dedicated fans of Shadow the Hedgehog 2005 but honest to lord I'd like an indie dev or something to revisit the concept of "speed based platformer with a focus on shooting/gunplay" because I think it's a cool concept that could be executed in quite a few fun ways

The "next persona game should have adults" conversation is always so funny to me because there's multiple examples of modern ATLUS games that literally star adult characters but none of those people will play them because they don't have the word "Persona" in the title.
