Just want to announce that my VGen commission will fully open again in March, probably... I might still accept 1 or 2 orders in February if I need some extra cash. If you're interested in ordering, just send your request on VGen. It'll automatically get into the waitlist. Ok, back to my cave 🏃💨

Hey All: Google is pulling the "automatically on for anyone over 18" bullshit with Gemini that the Dropbox did for its AI, but I can't afford to ditch Google Drive/Docs/Workspace. If you have a personal Google Account, first go to gemini.google.com/extensions and turn everything off...

since this will always be circulating, i might as well be the first one to put it here: the stretch tips i made many years ago… remember to stop and stretch and take care of your hands! be mindful of your work time & listen to your body.

a bunch of drawn diagrams of hand stretches. the text at the top reads MAKE TIME TO STRETCH!

it shows wrist extensions and flexions, with the arm straight out and hand palm out with the hand gently stretched up and down. the same stretches with the hand in a fist. the same stretch but with the palm against a wall. a stretch of pressing your palms together with wrists parallel to the ground and slowly lowering the heels of the palms. and a gentle shaking out of the hands.

Have you ever seen or shared an 'oh no' cartoon? Did you know the creator is a queer Welsh artist? Did you know they're being agressively pursued & harassed w/lawsuits from a US organisation trying to steal their intellectual property? Did you know you can donate to cover the horrific legal costs?

Um wow... was not expecting this positive of a reaction to a simple QRT about Dissolve Mode in our Carol & the End of the World BG paintings! 😳 Since y'all seem to have liked that so much, I thought I'd put all the pages of the BG Paint style guide I drafted in one thread! 🥰

Cash App isn't available in my country, but thanks! The most accessible platform to receive money internationally in my country is Paypal, so I'm just gonna have to stick with it.

Nice to know, but what good is an app if you can't use it in your country? 🤷

Note that even if you have less "formal' buyer protection if you pay through ko-fi dono, I'll still do my best to give you the best service I could give. Anyway, I guess starting from 1 Dec, the base price for all of my service (excluding YCH) on VGen will increase to $90 to cover the fee 🙇

000

Cipichama @cipichama.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

My conclusion 👇 Ko-fi ✅ slightly cheaper price (I'm talking $5-15 cheaper) ❌ lesser "formal" buyer protection, communication on different platform (e.g., bluesky dm/email) VGen ✅ better buyer protection, communication directly on the platform, clear invoice and ToS ❌ higher price

Cipichama @cipichama.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

I used to accept commission payment through Ko-fi dono and I personally like it because the cut is only from Paypal, but some people might feel ick buying something using dono system. So I might open Ko-fi dono commission again for my regulars, and start charging more on VGen 🙇

Cipichama @cipichama.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

It's not much different actually... $72 for a year of gold subs for $0 platform fee, or if you're a free user, 5% cut everytime you receive a payment (same as VGen). But I can't find info for payment processing fee on Ko-fi. Note that this is for Ko-fi commission, not the dono/donation.

Cipichama @cipichama.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

Reposting from x: I do enjoy doing commission at VGen, but as a non-US artist with only Paypal to receive the money, all those fees are piling up. Almost 10% cut for $100+ order! 💀 I can only imagine the number will shoot even higher for the more expensive orders 😬 Compared to Ko-fi ➡️
