Say it like Bogie....

Have I missed pictures of them? Let's see them.

Lucy had a special henna color made up just for her. Dinah almost lost it completely when Lucy walked out.

Today is the last day of Oktoberfest in Munich.

Dinah Shore had Lucy and Vivian on her show once. It came out Lucy had some clause in a contract that no one's hair could come close to the color of hers. Then she walked out with brown hair-she didn't color it for the show.

I just thought she looked a bit long in the tooth for that role.

Some day you need to drive down I-5 in the Central Valley. Nothing but grazing land, almond and orange trees and other crops.

My yardwork shirt-a game giveaway. Yes, I was there for the whole Billy Martin managerial age-all of them. (I wasn't born when he played for them.)

I LOVE this song. So different from Brand New Key.

On a semi related note-11 hour plane ride back to the US. Looking at available movies, I pick Moneyball and get nostalgic.

Rest up and I hope you are better soon!

Thanks to our three fill in DJs and Happy Birthday to our beloved @porpster.bsky.social . See ya'll next week. (If we don't shrivel up in the heat this week.) #AT40 11:28 AM · Oct 3, 202

They had to change part of the storyline in Grease since Olivia was Australian. I thought they were both about a 4.

000

Wasn't Olivia 32 or thereabouts?

Ever. She was a favorite part of the movie.

No subtly to the edits. You can almost hear the needle scratch.

I've always been meh about them.

Have fun! Mark Twain and Brett Harte welcome you!

I have this album by LRB, and two others. Thanks for cutting another song, Casey. Jeez. #AT40

He brings the girl back to life. What a guy.

Oh, good grief. What a depressing LDD. And wouldn't he be a fiance if they were planning their wedding???? #AT40

Good grief. Paul Nicholas was a tiny bright spot in Sgt. Pepper's.

Also, they were hard on the ankles, since thy aren't level. We figured out we walked 35 miles in 8 days of the trip. We didn't count the other 13, but it was similar.

In various cities. When we got home, my husband reminded me to not put the wheels on any fabric.

Stigwood was right in the middle of it. The BeeGees characters signed with him in the movie. Plus, who didn't want to see the BeeGees. And George Burns. Yes, he was in it.

And there are a lot of them, I discovered last month...

I worked in a movie theater at the time. My friends all wanted to see it, and I got in free. I saw it a few times.

Gonna be almost 100 or over for the next week in central CA. This El Nino is going to wreak havoc in a few months.

Better late than never seems trite, but it's true.

Linda in her remake era still sounds great. I believe she was dating California Governor Jerry Brown around this time. Or maybe a year or two later. #AT40

They do a bit of everything, evidently.

000

Nope. No memory of this Babs song. Wasn't Faye Dunaway in the movie? #AT40

You look a bit uncomfortable in this pic. Anything else you want to tell the class?

Okay, confession time. I still own this album. Aerosmith were the bad guys in the movie, if anyone cares, which I doubt. #AT40

Toni singing "Hey little man".... always cracks me up. #AT40

The Who will do that to you.

I will admit, Donna's version is my favorite MacArthur Park. I love her vocals, they seem so strong and vibrant. The others seem blah. Also FU Casey for cutting it. #AT40

I had a hard time back in the day believing she was Loretta Lynn's little sister.
