If transporters were a thing, I'd let you pet Dax. She's my cuddle bug of a cat.

I wish they'd make a Banjo-Threeie (and, yes, I know about the Xbox game).

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 15. I've seen neither the 60s nor the 80s version of this. I'll still probably watch the musical later this month, though. #NowWatching #TheLittleShopOfHorrors #RogerCorman

😬😬😬😬 I have a feeling Sorkin is going to publicly turn into a nasty, nasty man in the near future.

Tim @cinematicpackrat.bsky.social · 11h

Oh, that must've been fun to write around. Was Lawless missing from any episodes of her own show around the time she had the child?

Tim @cinematicpackrat.bsky.social · 11h

Honestly, I think Sorkin's greatest liability is he knows he's Aaron Sorkin, and while a talented dude, he's not talented enough to ride with that knowledge.

I was given one of these as a kid. It's a Winnie the Pooh. It's still unfinished. I'd like to go back to it, but I can't quite remember how the hook thing works.

She's 41? Yeah, she definitely comes off like an inexperienced 20-something.

Truman was a famously bad speech giver, but he was just not naturally good at it. He still gave off some confidence. This woman is like that nervous student in high school speech class who doesn't know what they're doing and desperately wants to be done. In short, WHY WAS THIS WOMAN HIRED?!?!?!

Sometimes, I think about if Serling were alive today and looking around at the state if things and the fire writing he'd be doing as a very pissed off 102-year-old.

"if you could get ai to realistically perfectly mimic your own work you would absolutely do it lol. imagine the free time" sorry but I hate free time i would make it my life's effort to hunt and kill the thing that took away my joy and reason for living. and I'd have a lot of free time to do it in

I don't think they're competent enough to STAND BY a stream.

This year, I'm going to try showing someone Suspiria, which I haven't seen either. I'm planning on it f***ing me up. I might finally five House a try this year, too.

I don't think he can even spell chess.

I wonder how he'd do directing someone else's script. He really needs someone to say no to him. He can write or maybe direct, but I really don't think he should do both.

Watched it last year. An interesting one. The two-strip technicolor certainly gives it a unique vibe. I also recommend Mystery at the Wax Museum (1933) for similar reasons.

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 5. Yes, it's after midnight. I was busy today! 😛😆 Because of the lateness of the hour, another short. #NowWatching

I've said this to you before, but Lois Weber's Suspense will always be one of the great thrillers of not only silent cinema but of all time. So good and so ahead of its time.

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 2. I'm watching more shorts this year. Since I don't want to rush through a feature before work, I'm trying out this classic #Disney short that I don't think I've seen all of. #NowWatching

Last year, I watched a Halloween-appropriate film every day of October. Well, I'm going to try it again this year. It's dark, raining. I have a hot pizza, a warm blankent, and a cat. Let's get spooky. 31 days of #Halloween movies - day 1: #NowWatching #EdgarAllanPoe

Even George Hamilton would say it's too much.

010

Tim @cinematicpackrat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

The film gives off desperate and trying too hard energy.

Tim @cinematicpackrat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

It was a very odd choice that only would've been appropriate if it'd been for a documentary about Cruise or a film where Cruise plays an actor (or a fictious version of himself) and real Cruise films are part of the fake actor's filmography.

Niles' different therapy groups is one of my favorite running gags.

😆😆😆😆 Literally laughed out loud. I'd forgotten that bit.

010

Tim @cinematicpackrat.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I understand why they did the divorce (they didn't want a marriage sitcom), but it bums me out, too. I don't why more people don't point out how creepy Niles is towards Daphne. I get the writers' intentions, but video taping someone while they sleep is not normal behavior.
