I wanna go to the movies so bad but the theater I have a subscription at isn't showing anything I haven't already seen/ I'm down to watch and on principle I can't bring myself to pay for a guilty proceed ticket anywhere else :/

me always being a day late to sharing my #LastFourWatched for ##LetterboxdFriday now is giving me war flashbacks to high school when I was allergic to handing in homework on time 😮‍💨 yes, I only watched 3 movies last week. no, I don't want to talk about how I'm falling off :/

Cropped screenshot of my Letterboxd account, showing my last four watched movies and what I rated them. From left to right it shows The Bone Collector (I rated 3 stars), Coyote vs. ACME (I rated 3.5 stars), Enemy of the State (I rated 3 stars), and The Odyssey (I rated 5 stars).

for every publisher that says no, a new idiotic chapter gets added where a beloved celebrity dies, a hated one lives, an national monument/landmark gets ruined in some way, and one or two more widely eaten crops has e coli or salmonella or something

I feel like I’m living In a dystopian novel written in 1993 that was rejected by dozens of publishers because it was incredibly stupid.

you're all the worst for not warning me about how much I'd cry watching Project Hail Mary omg. (Interstellar + Project Hail Mary double feature just to feel something?)

mossy 🏜 @cinemapplepie.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

I agree though! the dynamic is noticeably different and while I love cheadle imo i wish we had something closer to the rhodes & stark vibe from IM1. sometimes his character feels too serious-practical-adult to believably be in the midst of their superhero shenanigans if that makes sense? idk 🤧

lol no honestly I've been watching the mcu all through him being hulk and it's still weird to me 😭 I think it's because we never got a solo movie establishing ruffalo as our mcu hulk over the others (like in contrast, holland's spiderman was really easy to adjust to seeing in-universe)

ooooh it's such a cool genre (and the scores/soundtracks are chef's kiss). billy duke's made most of my favorite ones so his filmography has gotta be in there.

all I want for xmas is for Coyote vs. Acme to be a big hit so the people who run WB are recognized as classless idiots who spat on their studio's legacy over fear that they'd release one box office disappointment, which is something they do frequently anyway.

still have to rewatch Masters of the Universe on a Saturday morning with a bowl of fruit loops to see if I really am not a fan or if it's a vibe and I was just judging it too harshly my first go around. but alas, my #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched 🫡

Literally like dealing with someone trying to convert you! It comes off insecure, like they can't just enjoy something if everyone isn't agreeing with them. I once had someone constantly send me break downs of scenes in a show I didn't really like to "convert" me and I had to ghost them. Exhausting

mossy 🏜 @cinemapplepie.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

i love it when people act like everyone has to love what they love in order to be considered decent or smart (despise a "You just didn't get it" response when I did get it, and it still just wasn't for me lol)

Heat 2 is a major opportunity, but she's a comic fan and the mcu pays big anyway while guaranteeing her years of work and paychecks as long as this X-Men doesn't tank. as for the horror film, taking it as a followup to Obsession could've possibly roped her into a typecast anyway.
