Things the Elm Street franchise already has: -Incredibly clever initial premise -Sequels that people hated and are now highly praised -Legacy sequel with meta elements -Crossover fan service movie -Remake that missed the mark completely There is nothing new you can do with this franchise! Let it go!

RIP Sam Neill Accidentally watched three movies in a row starring him earlier this year and was blown away by how much I liked him. An incredibly talented man, a real loss.

Sam Neill in the ending of In The Mouth of Madness, laughing maniacally in a cinema with a bucket of popcorn.

When Stranger Than Heaven was first announced it was the first time since Lost Judgment that I was excited about a new RGG game, but each time they show something off it gets more and more bizarre, and not in a good way! Feels like a humiliation ritual to be an RGG fan now

I've been to Japan three times: 2016, 2019, 2025 My 2025 trip was marred by livestreamers with selfie sticks and drunken pricks who were acting like they were in Benidorm I had to apologise to bartenders and locals constantly for tourists being disruptive, the phenomenon is real and it sucks

[NEW VIDEO] People keep telling me that "Silent Hill is back," but what does that really mean? What actually makes Silent Hill, well, Silent Hill? In this discussion, I talk about the recent SH projects and why I think not much has changed with Konami's poor management of the IP youtu.be/sBxAuGRLWNY

Miyamoto talking about wanting to "revitalise" the film industry is the same way people in other industries talk down to video games. Absolutely bizarre quote, someone take his mic away please!

Gonna be controversial and say that while RE3make is not a good remake of RE3, it is one of the more fun modern REs No way in hell was it worth full price, but for less than a fiver you can play much worse Over COVID I used to play through it in one sitting whenever I was bored (which was a lot)

Genuine question for publishing industry people re Shy Girl controversry: is it normal for an author to just accept an editor's changes with no input or seemingly without checking the work at all? Or is this a case of a first time author being too trusting? www.theguardian.com/books/2026/m...

Not to be a hater, because I love the Villeneuve Dune movies, but the thing I've always disliked about them is how many of the weird freaks they cut out Removing child Alia from Part 2 etc They better include the guild navigators in this one Say what you want about Lynch's Dune, he kept the freaks!

Horror movie fans! I'm putting a project together that involves cataloguing the most important horror movies of all time. Are there any movies that you think HAVE to be on there? Not just favourites, but movies that are important to the history of the genre! #horrormovies #film Some examples:

We are not doing revisionism on the Christophe Gans "Harry would never go to save his daughter because that's gay and feminine" movie The movie is bad, it wasn't a feminist choice, and I have no idea why Konami thought he deserved a second chance with Return to Silent Hill

One of the only years that I've checked the Oscar winners and actually felt like the right people won. So happy to see Sinners and OBAA get the flowers they deserve, and of course Amy Maddigan for Weapons. Haven't seen Hamnet yet, but I'm always happy to see one of our own win, gowann Jessie

Book #9 of 2026 If Gliff was an alternate look at the state of our current climate, then Glyph looks it straight in the face and asks what it truly means to be a political novel in 2026. More thoughts in my review below app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/1893... #booksky #bookreview
