ciaranshaman.bsky.social @ciaranshaman.bsky.social · 17hJack snipe at Margrove this afternoon. Distant but nice to watch it briefly bobbing up and down through binoculars before it tucked its head in and dozed off. @teesbirds.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social 1223

ciaranshaman.bsky.social @ciaranshaman.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Nice to watch a few blackcaps feeding well in Easington garden today. Merlin app up to its tricks - hawfinch flyover plausible, black kite less so. Typically both of those sound ID's happened when I was busy in the kitchen & not outside looking up. @teesbirds.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social 0152

ciaranshaman.bsky.social @ciaranshaman.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Great to hear of the water rail sighting - was just discussing the lack of WR sightings there with a birder yesterday. Greenshank superb also 👍 010
ciaranshaman.bsky.social @ciaranshaman.bsky.social · 12/08/2026That's great & helpful info, many thanks. I was hoping for a wing flap so as to see the underwings but didn't get one alas. Even though a common European still a nice bird to get at Margrove - first I've seen there in 7 years regular visits. Once again, very much appreciated 👍 020
ciaranshaman.bsky.social @ciaranshaman.bsky.social · 11/08/2026Nice one bbirds, much appreciated. Bit of an odd one isn't it - overall colour seemed right for European but the long legs & general giss of the bird looked a little odd. Either way a nice bird to see at Margrove. 200

ciaranshaman.bsky.social @ciaranshaman.bsky.social · 11/08/2026Golden plover at Margrove this evening. Very rare to see one there, possibly even rarer - I'm no expert at all but this bird seems to be showing traits of Pacific golden plover with its incredibly long legs & coarsely notched tail. Would value opinions. @teesbirds.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social 1162

ciaranshaman.bsky.social @ciaranshaman.bsky.social · 22/07/20265 records as far as I can tell David - mostly in and around the Devon area.
