Hull red, light brown and som pale sand. I’d recommend glazing something over it to bring back some of the warmth as it gets very desaturated quickly

Been a minute since I’ve gotten the chance to work on my marines. I got the he ionic white paint set and really like the range, it has pretty good coverage and apply smoothly once dried.

I always roll my eyes so hard when I look at their profile and see either nothing or models that look fine, but no where near my level. Plus my style for marines is to have extreme shadows. my yellow helmets will have extreme magenta shadows, is it no longer yellow cause I used a bunch of magenta

White is relative to its context most things aren’t actually painted white it’s silly a very light grey. I live by the idea of not using pure white if I can avoid it, so here it’s only used for the extreme highlights with a blue hued shadow to make it look less flat and more interesting

I posted pics an 2-3 dudes kept going “erm it looks light grey”, coming back to comment on other peoples comments hours later. “Whites easy when you don’t actually use white”, “looks good but not white” such weird things to get hung up on. One day I’ll realize that batch painting just isn’t for me. What do you mean I painted for 3 hours and all I got done was 4 bolters and some trim. Batch painting just isn’t compatible with the standard I’m painting, but they’re almost done.

Got most the colors blocked in and it’s coming along nicely. Iye not relevant to this one but I’m not sure how I want the helmets for the fast attack models specifically. Traditionally for BAs it’s yellow but yellow sucks. I am doing blue for heavy support but closer to turquoise
