Namur blue limestone font (c. 1200) from the Meuse region #FontsOnFriday (details in Alt)
Excavated in 1837 near St Kolumba, Cologne, and now in the Cäcilienkirche. Plinth isn't original, and it would have had a column under each of its corner heads.

Mid-C14 lead font, St Peter, Parham, Sussex. Its thin circular bowl is decorated by lettering, with the inscription ‘IHS Nazar’ repeated vertically and horizontally, enclosing the arms of Andrew Peverel, knight of the shire in 1351, who presumably gave it. “Very rare”: Nairn/Pevsner #FontsOnFriday

Font at St Etheldreda’s church, in Ely Place, London. What date would you say the basin is? There’s a later font in the upper chapel itself. Perhaps this at the chapel door has been used as a stoup?
